LAST CHANCE TO PRE-ORDER A DRAGON!

It becomes unorderable on the morning of the 5th of January 2015. You've had five years to join the queue. I need to end it so i can get the queue finished and move on to the Kickstarter stuff!

Don't complain to me when it's gone, this thing has destroyed my life.

From Facebook:
Heresy Miniatures Ltd
Happy New Year!

Those of you who have been following my updates on twitter and Facebook will know that I have been battling to reduce the queue of Dragons over the last few aeons, and that following the workshop move back in September, and the subsequent 8 weeks delay setting up at the new place, I have finally got a new minion, to pack dragons whilst I cast them. The queue is now moving along at a reasonable rate, but it's time to draw a line in the sand - I have a Kickstarter to fulfil in the first half of this year and the dragons are in the way of doing that!

The last chance to pre-order a dragon at the current price of £200 will be the evening of Sunday 4th January. I will personally remove the ability to order it from the cart on Monday the 5th, when I get into work. Instead there will be a little annoying 'Call For Price' logo and a sneeringly passive aggressive explanation for all who waited too long. (I may change the Call For Price notice to something more sneering)
It is highly unlikely to return!

if it ever does, it will cost more as the current RRP doesn't really work out with all the silicon i have to use to cast the huge scaly bugger, not to mention the man-hours and the ruination of my personal life.

You have until midnight to pre-order a dragon if you have not yet done so. Don't complain when it's gone, as it's been infamously available to pre-order for 10% of my life now!

http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php…

Currently up to Dragon number 103 in the Queue of Doom. You can follow which numbers I am up to by reading my twitter updates, which are posted on the site for your convenience, in the top right hand corner of the page. Almost halfway at long last! Hoping to get them all out by end of February if nothing else goes awry...

All the best

Andy Foster

I think the picture above says it all... If you have £200 burning a hole in your pocket it's a must have...

Sadly I don't

Sorta glad I let my deposit slip.

IIRC I paid off the balance on mine recently. (Blimey, makes it sound like I bought a car or something) Looking forward to the list counting down to my place.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

What number are you in the queue?? Must be exciting seeing the Dragons being sent out and getting closer to yours I remember when Andy originally showcased the WIP sculpt at Salute a few years back and I was awe struck at the size and details...

Don't have a clue. Some gimboid walked into the Forum of Doom some time ago, just so he could walk out again in a strop over his place in the queue. I kinda decided to lose interest in my own place after that. Ah well, it'll get here when it gets here.

Size - without belittling it's appeal (too much) - is relatively easy. It's the details that got me. Andy's one of the few mini sculptors around these days, or even at any time, to take a gander at real animals, so that his dragon would have a hint of realistic appearance, proportion, balance, and a general lack of looking like a bag with legs or Arnie in a lizard costume...

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

I am currently in 78th position in the queue and I am happy to wait. As per Vermis' comment I couldn't agree more!

I think you got a good piece there. It's still very much out of my budget, but compare this for £200 to GWs Smaug at £295 and this is a much better one, I think.

Agreed. If I had the money, this is a much better Smaug.

I'm glad he's finally gotten production going on these... I'd still be a bit hesitant to pay for one, but February is well within the timeframe of filing a claim (180 days now) so even if it became April/May you'd be covered, so that helps a bit.

Do we actually know that the production of these dragons are going, and if so, at what rate? How long is the estimated time to have all the queue fullfilled if so? Anyone know?

He runs a regular update feed with a dedicated account on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHeresyDragon

Completed dragons are being shipped out and there's a few build / painting blogs on the Forum of Doom such as this one from June '14: http://forum-of-doom.com/index.php?topic=17266.msg271985#msg271985

Just a heads up.. there's a lot of new stuff on the Heresy site and a bit of a different look (vaguely).

http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/

This includes the Madame demon being added to preorder.

Here's a link to the new stuff section
http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=products_new&disp_order=6&page=all

The Waspquito is strangely well-timed lol..

CRAP.. someone started a new thread for it and I somehow missed it.. please disregard..

So let's make this the Heresy Miniatures news thread.

They're doing some spring cleaning so no shipping till May, but they're offering 20% off orders placed before the 2nd.

http://www.heresyminiatures.com/shop/

And with the pound low this would be the right time to order.

July sale posted on Facebook

https://www.facebook.com/HeresyMiniatures/

The situation has become somewhat intolerable for me these days - with Dan gone there just isn't time to get much sculpting done on the final Kickstarter figures when I have to do all the regular orders and stuff during the week as well. I've racked my brains to get around it and without the funds to hire 3rd parties to do the casting and packing I have no choice but to try and take the time 'off' to finish the last few figures and this means the regular orders will pile up. Need to raise some cash, and keep the wolves from the door by getting the last few KS figures on the cart, so I have to finish them and get the backer's ones cast up to boot...

So, to try and accomplish this first stage I shall be taking the next two weeks or so to concentrate on things like finishing the last bits of sculpting on the NetherLord II, the Deathball Ogres and so forth and the regular orders will be piling up in the meantime. To compensate for this, I will be running a MASSIVE sale. There will be up to 25% off metals, and even up to 10% on some of the resin stuff! It will start from midnight tonight until the 29th of July. Orders will ship at some point from the end of this month, or as and when I can find the time to pack them in amongst everything else. I have the workload of at least 3 men and not enough hours in the day to get it all done!

Also, as ever, I really need the money! Kickstarters by other companies (it seems there's 2 or 3 a week launching right now) are devastating my regular sales (eg the last four days have seen a mere 7 orders, averaging £10 which is insanely poor), so please chip in with however much you can, it will be a BIG and direct help.

And with the huge discounts, there will still be free shipping, if you spend £100 or more!

With the pound currently struggling against the dollar and euro, this sale is INSANE value.

Sale starts now! Please let all your friends know by sharing this post!

I put in an order to help Andy out a bit. He makes really cool stuff, and I've been tempted by those Hellbeasts and a few other pieces for some time now.

I like his stuff and wish him well but after a few of these crisis posts I have to wonder if maybe he's not all that good at running a business.

I think the problem is mainly that the stuff he makes doesn't have a niche. Nobody needs to bulk-buy Heresy models, with few exceptions you can't make an army out of them (blights and troopers mainly) so once you've bought everything you need, regardless of how much you want to support him, there's nothing left to buy.

My KS pledge was the extent of the support I can give Andy right now, it would be stupid of me to buy more before that is fulfilled (Netherlord Mk2 ftw!)

I may order a mini or two before the end of the month (though the inspectors are not part of the sale for some reason, odd), but yeah, his stuff isn't all that interesting or in the case of some models.. horribly outdated in look and feel and that's not something I mean in a good or nostalgic sort of way.

I ended up getting a couple of things that weren't discounted, in addition to some things at 25% off, merely because the £-SEK conversion rate is pretty good right now.

I wish that Andy would sculpt more Goblins, the current ones are easily the best figures that he has ever done.

I will check the site later, but I'm not sure if he has anything else on the site that I like.

I know right!? I have a unit of 40 of his fantastic archer goblins in my KoW army, with spares too, but there's only so many of these same ones I can use! He seems to get bogged down sculpting big things (Netherlord Mk2 shouldn't still be in progress!) and needs to sculpt more smaller models that he can sell on the site easier, imo.

If he sculpted more goblins I'd buy them in a heartbeat!

Well, hopefully he reads this thread at some point and gets inspired to sculpt more gobbos!

Sadly, I get the feeling that he simply sculpts what he feels like doing at the time, rather than what he thinks will sell well.

Being too busy to sculpt most of the time probably doesn't help either.

Really tempted by the trenchcoat gang. Some of the best Not-Cromunda figures out there, heck some of the best gunmen out there in general.

At ~$100 it's a good buy.
