wow... that pose and means to open up the can leaves absolutly nothing to be desired of... pretty much what i had in mind... and you are totally right, democharges and such things are the right way to kil such beasts...
i second the tank appeareance in that dio... poor guy there already bandaged up but still on the run... and the grot inside...(sounds like intel by the way...) cool looking pose!!!

Thanks guys,
So here is now the re-cap of the Dread build phase.
First I assembled the driva
I really like how the goggles make him look totally surprised 
Next I assemble the cabin, aligning the driva with Cpt von Schneider and his Bolter
For the base I ripped an old Leman Russ apart and decoratively scattered the pieces around 
Then I started on the legs - I decided against the standard Dread legs and rather went with the chicken-style legs of most titans
The arms were next, and gave Cut'n'Crush the name
The one arm with the claw is crushing the barrel of the hull gun, while the arm with the blade is trying to get at von Schneider
Of course the driver cabin can't be really open (just for painting and display purposes), so the cabin received a propa plate
nice ugly face, huh?
Since the diorama was intended for the "Summer of Heroes" contest, I needed someone in need of a hero rescue
So here is the wounded crew member hiding behind the wreck of his crushed and cut tank
Slowly the pieces came together
and the final result:

You have to wait for todays paint on Can Opener update before I post anything else on the PONOS - which is coming along VERY nicely
OK, here we go!
Cpt von Steiner with paint
As you can see, I plan on some OSL, but I will have to add more "Light" to make it look good.
Cut'n'Crush with base paint
This is as far as I got.
Yesterday my wife had a pretty bad car accident
Luckily her Guardian Angel was ready and Made in Germany held its promise!
Just some bruises and contusions, burns from the airbags, and LOTS of adrenalin.
She's fine, limping a bit and non-stop on the phone 
Her "opponent" who took her right of way, is also OK, no major injuries, so thanks to all the guardians for their excellent work!

i actually flinched... having witnessed a car accident on my own...very minor compared to your wifes... it is really lucky she didn´t get harmed... that car looks totally done in... was it a daimler? holy cow... it sure got some bruises...
von steiner looks very good... the leathery look of him adds lots of steampunky feel to him...
tho i feel there is something lacking still on those powercords of his skeleton... those blue/white ones...
the OSL looks very cool already!!!

I was in an accident years ago (me vs. an icy road and concrete barrier) and my car ended up like that. I was unhurt and I'm glad your wife was too. Have fun car shopping and keep up the great work.
