I love the way the light reflects slightly off Paradigm's female aguacile on the red leather. How do you get the semigloss sort of shine it seems to have. Is it carefully balanced varnish or semigloss paint?

Occasionally! Cheers. I've now got it into my head that I can get the whole set done inside a week, so 6 more minis before Thursday night. Doable, I think!

Honestly, that'ls just highlighting up to a bright red, no gloss or varnish I'm afraid. I just add light grey into my reds as I highlight up, rather than white, so I get a brighter/softer red rather than a pink.

Got the red done on my buddy's Nomads last night. Which means I'm 80% done with them! Can't wait to get some shots, I'm really happy with the. Way Reapers reds go on.

^Hey now. I was wondering how I was supposed to do reds the 'proper way'... Now I've got to find a model who wants to be red, my corregedor dudes have already been promised to another color scheme.

Paradigm your speedy painting has inspired me to get cracking on my own stuff (I'm still slow lol)

So here's my first alguacile from icestorm. Progress shots over on my blog.

Looks great!

Speaking of speed, I have 2.5 minis to go of Icestorm, and as of tonight I'll have had the set for a week. I'm fairly confident I can get them done within the self-imposed deadline, but won't have access to a camera until next week so can't show any of it.

Dang.

This makes me want to post the stuff I have been working on for the last week.

I guess I will have to wait until I get home next week before I get a chance to take the shots and post them.

I got asked why I chose JSA and not one of the other variants of Yu-jing.

Ninja and Aragoto senkenbutai were why.
