I've still got a copy of Space Crusade stashed away somewhere - I wish GW/FW would do a modern version of that dreadnought. One question that occurs to me on seeing the box art again, is if there was some RT-era background about Blood Angels officers having white armour, or if it's just artistic license?

The lone 1st Company Blood Angel in Ultramarines Terminator armor is cooler.

I love that little fluff snippet/short story. Reminds me I need to put a BA decal on one of my terminators to honor the time the armor spent loaned to the angels.

It's artificer armour. Same reason the cover of WD133/ the Warhammer 40,000 Compilation has a Captain in gold armour (before that Captain got a name and Dante and his sidekicks stole the idea) and a Chaplain in silver. Officers are allowed cool-looking gear.

So does this count for some old school Rogue Trader and 2nd Edition models?

I recently decided to update and repaint my old metal Eldar army.

I think the newest model is the Farseer with a Spear.

The only plastics are the original FW Wave Serpent hulls and the first version of the Eldar Jetbikes. Photos of the individual units are in my Alaitoc painting log (link in sig) if you want to walk down memory lane.

Cheers,

CB

Anyone remember these old guys? Cadian shock troopers but in monopose metal form.
I also redid them for my Imp Guard army under the guise of Mordian Iron Guard.

They still make up my Imperial Guard army. They're not momopose, though; there's8 different poses in that box. The plastic Stormtroopers on the other hand, are monopose.

They also did some other HWT options for them, to add a couple of other poses. Kneeling missile launcher and standing with binoculars guy.

Picked up this little guy for a steal last weekend.

The guy even tossed in a 60mm round base for him in case I wanted to rebase it. He even asked for pics if I repainted it.

(I have no intention of doing either. I might add a wash or two to various bits, but it's joining my Ulthwe army Seer council (12 Warlocks and 5 farseers that I've had since the 90s).

I think I still have one of those Eldar Dreadnoughts.

I certainly have some of those annoying metal Hormagaunts. Some of mine are lead, some of them are the change to 'white metal'. The change happened right around when these guys came out.

This is as flashback as I can get. I stumbled upon some old blurry photos I took of my Eldar army high school ---- and then I snapped crappy pictures of those pictures (because I don't have a scanner). Still brings back the memories though.

I found some pictures of things I was listing on ebay around 10 years ago and dumping them into my OOP gallery. Nothing too glamorous, but I do miss seeing walls of blisters with metal in them.
