I just googled "Sunset gradient" and printed it out on an old laser printer.
I then taped it to a book and used two lighting sources. I'm not fancy.

That's two different photography degrees in action... just about making pictures of a small horse look cool.

I shared it on a 40K group and got absolutely 0 responses. I can only assume they thought I'd got the wrong group.

Let me see, how to make a miniature horse look cool on a web site that focuses on wargaming.

It's going to be very simple. A road between two areas of forest, in early winter.
Snow, grass, ferns.. Some trees will have foliage, some won't.

Looks cool! I love seeing big terrain bits coming together like that. I think I live vicariously through people who can make that happen.

Thanks so much guys! I do wake up some days and wonder wtf I'm doing.
The filler and tools came today, so now it's just taking all the figures back off it!

Hey BC. Sorry for not stopping in for a while. Life was just a bit, well, you know. Hope you're doing good.

Your AoP board is looking very cool and I am very jealous. If I ever get enough minis for one army painted I would love to enter. Just can't see it happening is the problem

No worries man, I had a minor breakdown last week, so I do appreciate folk not always being around and on their best game.

An AoP board does not HAVE to be 24", that is the maximum size.
So you could always make a smaller one.

I hope you are not putting too much pressure on yourself to get this done.
It looks great and got me thinking just my normal gaming terrain needs more attention than the coat of primer I left it at.
Sorry about the breakdown, been through a few in my past so I can sympathize: do what you need to do, we are not going anywhere.

Thanks so much all, it wasn't to do with painting..

Long story short, a nine year relationship ended, I started asking people to call me Benny in all aspects of life, and quite a lot of stress and grief was compacted atop having very little support in place.
Something broke, but thankfully I had the sense to see my GP before it did, so I'm off work and healing.

I got a lot further with the board, I just need to finish the army!

Main issue is having no real central character figures. It's not like space marines, everywhere it's just humans.
