Anvildude wrote:@Dr. H- that's actually a really well done Boy. They're all too often given no love, just banged out to fill ranks. But that guy's got character. You doing a whole army like that?
Thanks Anvildude. In a way, yes. Certainly any more Orks are going to get re-posed. But my "army" is not a typical army and I doubt I'll reach the numbers of just Orks that others may use for an whole Ork army. (You'll have to see my army's blog to get a full understanding)
Without "needing" to play the game, I can take my time on every army member and give them all the love they deserve.

Nice work people.

Not the best picture (all the blends look like gak), but the guy at Gamesday that year wasn't on top of his game.

That is crazy good. The best KoS model I've ever seen, nice work. I'd love to see it when it's done

Awesome conversions!

My best one so far is the Death Guard Predator converted from an old Baal Predator I think.

Sadly I only have some mid build pictures, I want to eventually make a improved version with a lower silhouette. Meanwhile im gonna go over this one again and make it look not so empty around the turret with added bitz etc.

WIP pics
Spoiler:

On this variant I used the original turret ring which prevented me from lowering the weaponary as much as I wanted. The gun are attached to the middle piece with the original mounting parts (the discs).

Wow, I need to take the time to read this whole thread. Thanks for posting folks! I don't know if I have a best conversion. Maybe this one for shear visual impact.

On the other hand I won a contest with this one back in the day, which went a long way to really getting me into scratch building, over on Bartertown. It incorporated a casting of an actual dragonfly's body.
