Looks excellent as always! The glows are nicely done and the weapons look awesome. Really fond of those wings too. The membranes you've managed to get look fantastic.

I'm not impressed with the skin though. It seems so flat, aside from the small amounts of reds and oranges, there's really nothing else to focus on. The face seems so flat and boring, and at first i couldn't really tell what the face looked like.

That being said, I'm not a fan of the model in general. That has nothing to do with the paint job, I've just never been a fan of this one.

I think my biggest gripe with this model is that there isn't enough contrast between the armor, horns, weapons, and skin colors. The whole model is kind of this uniform black, orange, red, and gray scheme and there's no real distinction between the different details and parts of the model. Additionally, and this is more of a lore gripe, but Skarbrand shouldn't have wings. At least not ones as perfectly preserved as those on this model. It is a big part of his fluff, and his rules (he can't fly in the game AFAIK).

All that criticism aside, it is beautifully painted for what it is. The OSL is excellent and the lava effect on the axe is beyond cool. There's just not enough contrast on the model, in my opinion. But still, it's very, very well-done.

Skarbrand name was used by our client so it got stuck and i didn't know about his fluff.
The skin will look a bit flat when inwardly highlighted, it just wont look any different on any model really.

There is alot I really like about this model.
Its imediatly set apart from ordinary bloodthirsters despite beeing the exact same model.
The choise of colors look nice, and the effects look stellar.
Im not that fond of the cuirass armour plate. It looks abit like he has just a iron neclace and glowing abs.
Also, Im puzzeled about him having wings and just one axe, but that has already been brought up.


All in all a really nice piece of work.
