I got lucky and got on one of the better TN ATC teams. I normally play Orks and am about 50-50. Our Team Leader was looking for someone to play his Eldar as a defensive army. He made all of the lists for our team. I threw my name in the hat and was chosen. I have never been to ATC (did go to Red Stone Rumble TO was a Judge at ATC).

Looking for Strategy and General advice.

Army:

2×Farseers Jet Bikes

7×Warlocks Jet Bikes

3×DAVU Wave Serpents

2×Swooping Hawks×6

2×Wraith Knights

I don't know their load outs.

I found out this morning on our FB Group and don't want to let the team down.

Help please.

This might be a dumb question but what is TN ATC?

What sort of missions are you going to be playing?

If your team leader made your list, it will be viable at least with respect to the missions/expected terrain.

The Seer Council lost SOME of its bite with the removal of the Baron, but it can still do work. I will assume that one of the FarSeers has the Stone.

I'd be wondering if you're going to be summoning Daemons.

Things to pay attention to: When NOT to fire the Serpent Shields (yeah, there are occasions), how to get the most out of the Swooping Hawks, when (and how best) to charge with the Council.

Thanks.

@Zimco American Team Championship the TN was for Tennessee. Restated I got on one of the ATC teams from TN.

The limit of my knowledge is having them kick the crap out of my Orks.

The Swooping Hawks Deep Strike and drop a Large Blast.
The Wave Serpents shoot things off the table.
Wraith Knights storm down the field and ... I don't know what their goals or priorities are.
Seer Council, buff and debuff, but not really sure where to send them and if they should stay out of melee.

Thoughts?

I'm don't know much about the competitive scene but I do play eldar so I have some things for you to keep in mind.
*don't underestimate the fire power of the seer council. Shuriken weapons in general fired en-masse are extremely lethal to anything with a toughness value. If you roll doom, use it to maximise the damage from your shuriken weapons.
*wraithknights: There are a lot of units in the game that simply can't touch these guys. However, there are units in the game that can eat them for breakfast. Learn what these units are. Poisoned guns force a lot of armor saves, grav weapons are terrifying and missile launchers really hurt. DO NOT get into combat with an imperial knight. You don't have enough attacks to kill it, and he has str D attacks and if he lands all three stomps on you he has a 50% chance to erase you from the board. This guy's prime objective should be punching tanks, because that it what he's best at. Also punching other monstrous creatures like hive tyrants and daemon princes if they don't have str modifiers is a pretty solid strategy.
*swooping hawks: Every inch matters to these guys. Luckily they have no-scatter deepstrike. They can make a fleet run after they shoot, you can use it to get into cover, or just further away from the enemy. Don't forget that the whole squad has haywire grenades. These are guys you might want to sacrificially throw at an imperial knight. I'm guessing that their ability to seriously threaten imperial knights in combat is one of the reasons your team leader put them in the list. Dropping the hawk squads strategically can make your opponent think twice about moving and charging with his knight.
*Seercouncil: always a conceal power going on the council. All 6 turns. The turn that they don't have it is the turn all of the enemy's guns get pointed at them and you will lose many expensive models. If you roll fortune, they should have that for all 6 turns as well. Maybe throw one farseer into runes of fate and the other into telepathy. That will give each farseer 4 powers so they should each get something good. Like one of the above posters I'm also wondering if the intention was to summon daemons

@R 8 speed Thank you very much. Your info is the exact kind of break down I was hoping for.

I haven't seen him summon Deamons with them. But I can run it by him.

I only see him at higher level games and on FB.

Thanks again.

Anybody else have anything?
