So, I started this army just over a year ago (Jan 2014) - a massive rebuild and repaint from my old Chaos Space Marine army, which slowly grew to include all my unbuild Imperial Guard bits and any random other bits I could lay my hands on. I've still got a lot to build (or rebuild), including some Daemon Engines, more Renegades, and a whole Daemon section, but since it's been a year I thought a Showcase of what I've achieved would be in order.

So, I broke out the lightbox and spent the morning taking photos of everything so far, all in the same style. Enjoy.

EDIT: Oh, and the P&M blog is at http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/426461.page if you want to follow it as it grows!!

Glorious. The weathering on these is truly great, and almost lends them a painterly or impressionistic effect

Thanks, guys. Yes, lots of work, but completed in large batches as a production line, so weirdly it doesn't feel like it's taken as much time as other (smaller) projects I've done.

Good observation, since most of the weathering is oil paint washes!

I usually only lurk in this forum, but man, gotta tell you how much I love your helhounds. The SU-85 - ish front is something I've wanted to do for my tanks for a long time.

I'm guessing it was a plasticard job?

Also- Have you got any progress pics of it? It'll really help a brother out

Thanks! I like that you can make convincing spawn out of pretty much anything. I might get around to making more once I've finished with my Mutant Rabble and see what bits are left over!

Just realised that I never linked to the P&M blog for this so I've updated the original post - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/426461.page - the Hellhounds are on Page 5. there's a bit copped out of the front of the chimera hull, and a plasticard panel to cover the circular Chimera turret mount. Then the basic assembly is made from the front lascannon mount of a Leman Russ, and some unused panels from the sides of the chimera (though plasticard and rivets could be used just as well). The sides were then filled with Milliput and sanded down.
