He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. I love that drop pod. I just realized, after a battle those drops pods have to go somewhere and by the looks of it that one has been there for awhile

These are pieces from my 'gaming collection' put out for the kids' enjoyment. The pod fits into a bunker/fortress piece of gaming terrain, not used.
Some more pics.

I have to get some more SM stuff from one of my friends to add to the mayhem and make a few more pieces of train as well.

Very cool looking stuff, I'm not sure the actual Train engine looks very 40kish, but the rest is great. Very characterful.

I love the use of the .22 rounds for the artillery shells, the scale is spot on. Consider the idea stolen for the bigger guns for diorama's.

Very cool!

Also, it's been ages since I've seen .22 short rounds.

It looks amazing, but you make me nervous using 22 shells. Did you remove the powder and primer?

You worried they will cook off if you get an explode result? Ammunition is pretty stable.

Is that a GG1 shell on top of a steam engine body? Interesting.

Excellent work! Those are .22 short's yes? I've got a batch for use in various terrain capacties. Looks much more 40k scale than the longer .22LR casings.

I'd love to see more of the large industrial building. I really need to get to work on my sci-fi train...

As requested, some pics of the building, in use.

It has had some mods since, mostly through damage! I think I made it mostly from the insides of computer towers or VCRs or some such and some other bits and pieces.

Definitely agree!

Really creative use of a railway set, I can't believe I've not seen anything like it before, it's really quite inspirational! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for all the comments. Glad you are enjoying it. It is a big hit with the younger set but I sometimes get some strange looks from the 'real' model railroaders!

Man, I wish my local gaming store had tabletops like this. What a great looking, and proper orky setup.

Part of that table was a tricked out GW game board which I have since sold. The sloping surfaces while more realistic caused problems so we have gone to terrain with more horizontal levels sacrificing some realism.

Very nice boards.
