I've just discovered that Trent Miniatures have a lovely range covering the Irish 1798 Rising. Unfortunately I don't have the time, or money, to build two big armies for this in 28mm, but I'd love to at least pick up a few for a skirmish game. Can anyone here recommend a suitable set of rules?

I can't remember the names but about 6 month ago there were lots of Irish Rebellion wargames in various scales covered in Wargames Illustrated.

Ah, thanks for the tip off. I fell out of the habit of buying that magazine. I'll check if they have back issues or something.

Thanks!

As for rules, how about Black Powder? Or are you looking for something even smaller?

I have Black Powder, but as I say I'm not in a position to build big armies. I'm looking for real skirmish stuff, 10-20 individual models per side.
