I listened to it on the drive to and from work today. Gaskell gives a great glimpse into the Maelstrom's Edge universe, and Ansdell's narration is spot on. It actually got me back onto the Kickstarter!

Listened to the first 10 minutes of this while washing dishes last night. Cool so far... Narrator's voice is somewhat hypnotic.

Nice story, not set up for a sequel though.

I quite enjoyed the story. The writing was good, and the pacing was good.

It certainly needs a sequel, and I would have loved to hear:

I got into the kickstarter late (box and 2 extra terrain sprues) and failed to download the book during this window of time. For those that got it, would you say it's worth buying when the book comes out?

The short story audio book isn't bad. It sort of sets / explains the different views and actions of the populace of a planet.

Depends on the price for this one. But if You find it cheap enough, pick it up. it's only about an hour or so long.
