Maelstrom's Edge is built around the stories, conflict and scenes that can occur in such a broad setting. These are explored in depth in our fiction, in our audiobooks, and in our battles, but it is also entirely possible to create emotive settings with the models. While Maelstrom's Edge is a game, the models are so flexible and detailed that using them to create dioramas is an entire hobby in itself. Today we are sharing images of our first diorama - a conflict between Epirian Contractors and Karist Tempest Elites.

This diorama is set inside a photo frame, and shows just how easy it is to chop up our multipart Epirian plastics to create realistic looking fatalities which you can use to litter your battlefield or scenery if you are so inclined!

Creating dioramas opens up a whole new aspect to the modeling and painting side of the wargaming hobby. Capturing your favourite dramatic moments from stories or games you've played and then turning them in to a detailed, action-heavy diorama will stretch all of your painting and modeling skills, but doing so gives you an achievement to put on your shelf and be proud of for decades. The number of parts in our plastic kits make it very easy to alter the pose and position of models, and with a few cuts here and there, you can get an incredible range of poses for diorama construction.
