Hey there everyone!

So I've been away for a while but thought that I should come back and resume work on the
space wolves that have been sadly gathering far to much dust sitting around our place.

So I thought to start a new Blog to showcase my work. I've spent a number of hours at
the local GW to get some painting lessions and get me out of this rut that I seemed to
have fallen into...

This is where we left off: (ish)

Ugg.. Those are years old sorry for the image quality my new camera is better if not amazing.

This is what I'm at now:

TITAN:

The wash was put on two coats thick and since I've started this post I have dry brushed and added most of the detail to the skeleton except the eyes.
I apologize for the bad lighting I'll try to get better at that as we go.

Terminator: First referance model

hey silver! was expecting a nudge in the right direction...

that´s an interesting scheme...white wolves,,, the shield looks awesome, i like that scheme, yet the armor look still a little flat...

and for now i wont comment on the titan...just be sure of my envy...

In what way are you thinking the armour is bland?
Just curious to have more ideas. I know that there isn't any
Weathering on the miniature (kinda scared to try that yet) but
Any thoughts help me move along.

The bright blue (almost white) is for my elite close combat
Squad.

I'll try to post a photo of more or less what the "basic" space wolves will look like.

Okay Guys (Vik )
This is what my army is looking like at the moment…
It's a lot bigger then I had thought but still working.

50 Space marines in power armour
1 Comander
2 drop pods
15 long fangs
5 sky claws
5 wolf scouts
10 Terminators
1 Emperors champion (going to be heavily converted)
1 Venerable Dreadnought
1 Knight TITAN

This is my lone wolf. I wanted to include him so that you could have a look at the basic colour scheme Vik.
And because I posted a photo of what he looked like when i had first assembled him.

Titan
Need I say anything more about him?

Wow.. The crickets here are overpowering I think I have to break the silence with a little update. Okay so I've been working on my Long Fangs I've got ten of the fifteen together a little touch ups to do but mostly ready for primer. Squad one has four las cannons and an ancient (not sure what to equip him with yet…) Squad two has four heavy bolters (once again not sure what to be doing with the ancient…) Squad three is my desire to have four rockets (But only have 3) And not sure what to do about ancient.

I'm not the fastes a putting these guys together so for a week (ish) of work this isn't bad.

i hope the webways will soon see you more often...?

did i say that your wolves look very characterful?...well they do

as for the white termies... well... you named it... a little weathering and you´d be set... to do that... i would start with a very light drybrush of a brown colour... then just a hint of metal...after that a wash... depending on your taste...

Sorry for no update at the moment guys I will have one soon but the wife and I had to take a trip up to visit her grandmother in the hospital so Saturday was all chewed up but driving 400km up and 400km back... And then Sunday was recuperating. But I snapped a few lovely shots while heading up of the scenery that makes me love this Provence.

Welcome to Cape Breton and its highlands!

Well before leaving I managed to swing by the local GW and score some prizes from there birthday bash! I will have photos later.

Happy Eleventh GW Halifax!

Well.. Her grandmother is in the hospital so it's really a nesissary expense. And because of having to drive as we do there is no internet. Can't afford that. My resent hobby treats came out of my treturns. And some of what I was being shown is a year or more old. Just never got to it.

It is a beautiful place to live and there are few I would willing to move to away from here. If you ever come out this way look me up and I'll show you the sights.

I have a question tho...

What is a vacation? (two weeks?!!!??) I haven't had a vacation for years...

sorry mate... from what i´ve heard from dave that vacation thing is as it seems more of an european thing... we are so used to that... we usually have around 21 working days of free time a year... well this year tho we too are so broke that our holiday in the summer will be spent on the balcony as they say...meaning we stay at home...tho our city berlin should nevertheless provide a good deal of amusement...
is the illness age associated?...or acute?... for our old folk being in hospital is allways critical... can´t count the times my grandpa go a rather critical flu in the hospital...

Well she has a repeat infection that keeps sending her to the hospital. She's almost ninety and living in a nursing home up there because that's where she grew up. She had been living in a nursing home down here but moved up there when a spot opened.

But on to the new gear!
I got this with my free to use portion of my tax return:

Dave.. If you ever see this. I know that you're busy with your new house. You'll have to help me with the Baneblade. Yours inspired me to buy this one to add to my army!
I will also update with the pictures of the posters that I got for GW Halifax's 11th birthday.

Sorry for short post. I'm running on the last of my laptop batteries.
Chow for now!

I hate trying to do an update via cellphone..
But alas..

Okay so 3/4 of the photos got up.. I'll do a better up date from my digital can and laptop tomorrow.

This its the hexblade!
Insert title: Project Hexblade!

Okay so you guys (vik) will be with me from the start with this one. Right from the box to a fully painted mini (i hope..) I finally stole some time today to start work in this beauty. Sofar as you can tell I have the tracks assembled.

I'm going to try something different with this one. I was doing some online research about the baneblade and saw a guy who put all six of the hull mounted guns into a megnitized hull so that all you have to do to adapt to a battle is pull off a canon move a panel and you can have one of six options for the baneblade.

This project might take a while because I have to go order some magnets and experiment.

But as always comments welcome!

I really enjoyed the game itself. And my wife would be willing to play it. So that on its own is worth it to me.

when you are done with buiding the main chassis i would be extra greatful if you could give me the measurements ...just width and length...maybe height too... for my own leviathan/ baneblade project...

and
I really enjoyed the game itself. And my wife would be willing to play it. So that on its own is worth it to me.

that is absolutely a very good justification... no arguing there!!! and who knows where the rocky road of hobbiesim might lead after that^^

and i totally dig the idea for the hexblade! as i think magnets are a great way for conversions... i want to experiment soon with these too... there is so much potential... i love movement in my models and this way so much is possible...!!!

We have a thrid person on the thread!
Hey Warboss! Thanks I love driving through the highlands.
Yes I have to get some paint moving...

Okay Vik! Hull is together and I have you some starting measurments. (I'll take some photos of the instruction if you would like me to?)
From the start of the track to the end of the track is 22cm, 6cm tall, and 14cm wide.

It's looking great so far in my imagineation.
Got to run.

looking cool, this is a most awesome kit! i am wondering as i have never seen it in first person...does it come with interior?...it has a huge space in there, i could see so many conversion possibilities...

Main hull assembly under construction. Nothing glued together until I can dry fit it all and see where magnets need to go

probably not intentional, but nice to see the mouse in the backdrop... gives me a sort of scale reference as i never saw a banebalde in the "flesh"...and again... what an impressive build!

What is that you say?!?!?!?!?!
Reference?!?!?!?!?!

Heh... I can do that.

Holy Frakerdoodle this thing is HUGE!!!
I had been thinking that is was rather sizable but had yet to set a mini beside it. I thought that a marine would be as tall as the track but... Nope the dreadnought is..

I have so far figured out how 5/6th of the hexblade options work!

you really make progress! it´s a riveted beauty...and a sure blessing for sore eyes!

will be interesting to see you start the magnetizing...i will be glued to the screen for this, as i said i want to experiment a little with these devils too...

the size references are most welcome... it is a fething huge monster... a table dominator^^
but for all those hard hitting weapons... don´t forget to drill the barrels

gotta ask... is the dreadnought a kit or did you convert it... it´s a nice looking one, if the latter...

Thanks Vik!

The basic body is a Venerable Dreadnought.
I've added the wolf helm from one of my wolf guard packs.
And I'm planning a conversion with the left arm but have been too hesitant to even attempt it before now. Not enough green stuff experience. But I want to start it as soon as I have this monster and the titan finished.

I'm planning to make my vision of Bjorn. I've had this idea in my head since I got this model a few years ago. I now have the idea that I need to GET OFF MY ASStrotuff and just do it.

I want to turn his left arm into a wolf. Adjusting the close combat weapon to be the jaw and teeth.

fur actually from what i understand isn´t really rocket science... basically you just put a glob of GS on the area where you want it and then start pinching and pullling with a needle...or a blade... i made quite convincing hairdo that way too and taken that method a bit further you´ll arrive probably where you want to get... i could imagine some kind of bionic look afterwards... with a bit of machinery looking through the fur...

also... have you seen conversions with sentinel legs for dreadnoughts? that could be a cool twist ... like a walking position you probably know from the underworld movies...

The fur isn't what is worrying me. It's the head, the snout and eyes. But I think that I am capable. As for the Sentinel conversion that looks amazing.
