Thoughts from veteran Eldar/Dark Eldar players? I'm a Tau guy; so I'm coming over to the dark side here. Total bandwaggoner. But in my mind, if you bandwagon for competitive reasons, your list better be dead hard. There's no reason to do so if it's even "pretty good." So, how can I make this tippy top tier for GTs? Do I need to radically overhaul? Tweak? Thanks for the input.

I'm sad you don't have more faith in the greater good espeshially with our new codex set to drop later this year...

That being said(and not being an eldar or dark eldar player) I think your vauls wrath batteries are going to be either not deployed with enough range or covering units to protect them should you not get first turn.

I also don't think your war walkers are gonna make the cut if you are looking for a "dead hard" list going to the top of gts.

Swooping Hawks are another head scratcher, I mean I get they are annoying and have haywire grenades but I'm skeptical as to weather they will make their points back in a super competitvw atmosphere. I feel like many armies will have enough interceptor to eat them alive.

Your D-Cannons will underperform consistently. Drop them back down to Shadow Weavers if you're looking to take advantage of the T7 3+ the units offer.

Perhaps consider using points saved there to upgrade the Venom to a Raider (for the Fire Dragons) and giving the Archon a Webway Portal. Webstriking is fun. There will be room for the Autarch to join them in the Raider, making better use of his BS6 Fusion Gun. If there are points left after that (there will be), expand the Swooping Hawk units to at least 6 (you want that pie plate, right?)--I think 7 is a sweet spot.

Furthermore: Remove the Swooping Hawks and Warp Spiders from the CaD and organize them as an Aspect Host. The USRs brought by the Exarchs are excellent for a mere 10 points (each), and the +1BS and re-rolling failed morale/leadership/pinning checks (or whatever the exact set is) is fantastic. I'm even putting power weapons on my Swooping Hawk and Warp Spider Exarchs, but maybe that's just overenthusiasm on my part.

Actually: Organize the Fire Dragons, one unit of Swooping Hawks, and the Warp Spiders into the Aspect Host. The Fire Dragon Exarch's 'Crack Shot' is stupidly good.

You might also want to expand the War Walkers to 3 and flip to the free Scatter Lasers.

I think the 9 wraithguard with archon are a waste of points. Yes the d-scythe is now a d-weapon, but even last edition this was not a good unit because it costs a lot, it lands and kills the unit it targets, then it does close to nothing the rest of the game on average other than avoid being charged. 9 models in the unit is most likely overkill on most units you would drop onto. If you really want to take it I would drop the huskblade on the archon, and honestly the shadowfield too. Not many people are charging the unit, and you don't want to be in assault with it usually- as in you are unlikely to assault something with this unit- so not really useful. Give the archon a blaster/haywire grenades. You could probably drop this unit size down to 6 models and it would still be good. Dropping the three models would also be close to enough to give venoms to the two warrior squads, pretty sure with the points dropped from huskblade/shadowfield it would be enough points to give the two warriors quads venoms.

I agree that the 9 Scytheguard are wasted, but my point is that you won't be able to lay enough templates over your target to make it worth it.

If you want to take a boatload of Scytheguard, get a Tantalus.

Otherwise, drop the Scytheguard back down to their 5 and put them back in a Raider. Use the points you've saved to beef up 2 of the bike units to maybe 7 each. With that many units of bikes, and depending on the missions you play (I typically play AdeptiCon Maelstrom myself), you'll maybe want to have 2 units you can deploy (either small enough to hide or big enough to withstand being targeted), 2 units that can do major damage to a horde, and the rest cheap to flit around and grab objectives.

Personally, I think you're light on anti-armor (until Turn 2). Is there a reason you're not building in a Wraith Knight?

Okay, working on version 3. Yes, I play on the east coast which is largely NOVA packet. NOVA bans superheavy and Gargantuan LOWs.

There's a slim chance this could be revised to 0-1 before NOVA; in which case, I would consider adding 1.

Okay, so I added 3x double Bright Lance War Walkers (love those models) for turn one AT. Is there a better option? (excepting the Wraithknight for banlist reasons)

I kept the webway portal on the Archon because it's cheaper than a third raider and allows one of the D-scythe units to come in sans scatter.

DCannon4Life, I get what you're saying about the bike unit sizes and it rings totally true with me. Just not sure how to get there.
