Lots of dead Englishmen?
Spoilers!
What I liked about that film was that the final guy was just so damn scared. No macho "die villain" type attitude, no, when the gak hit the fat he realised just how over his head he was. So yes, by and large it was a retelling of the original Predator film, bar having a load of scenes cut due to the length, just in a different setting. ...And yes its awesome.
Predator 2 showed that the aliens visited Earth in the medieval era, its 'plausible' in canon for a Predator to hunt knights.
Also the Predator favoured melee weaponry, and didn't use its plasma caster except once, against a crossbowman who had already fired.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
That was pretty entertaining, although I wasn't that sure about the ending. I guess the budget would have jumped up a fair bit with the fluorescent blood flying and predator limbs.
Also, the motivations of the Saracen are confused, he travels all the way across the world to find the Predator again, only to then start with "OMG it's so scary, I'm not going anywhere near it!" It would have worked better if he were avenging his lost family or friends etc.
And, obviously the Predator thought the same thing about the woman's accent as I did..
Overall though was good, I think there is potential for more mileage in the Predator concept of it coming down to hunt at different stages of human history, certainly more so than them fighting aliens..
Another cool thing about it was that I then ended up following some links on Youtube of 'Making of Predator', which had a lot of info I didn't know and were awesome!

To be fair, it didn't seem like she actually knew how to use it.
