Hey guys, I know that the most popular way to field Warbosses, Big Meks and Painbosses these days seems to be on a bike. Makes sense - they're faster, killier and tougher. How do most people go about converting them though? as far as I know, none of the aforementioned models have the separate legs and torso like standard Orks do so it's not a matter of simply putting the upper half of a Boss onto a biker's legs.

For Painboys or Meks, simply cut the model in half (using a razorsaw for example - Warning: These things are really sharp. Always be careful, use a cutting mat and don't rush.) and use the lower half of an ordinary ork biker. You can also swap one of the character's arms for a biker arm to hold the handlebars.
For Shokk Attack Guns, it's a bit trickier, and for Warbosses you'll need to find a way to beef up the legs abit.

Hmm, thanks. How about a KFF though?
For the Warboss, any idea how big the WFB Orc Boss's legs are? The foot/ boar-riding one? That may be my solution for the lower half. I don't have a spare Warboss to chop up atm though...

Thought this might help. I wound up using a warboss and cut his mid section out. Once i did that i was able to angle him like he was sitting down and used greenstuff to make a little belt around his waist. Once he's sitting on the bike you can hardly even notice. Once you get the boss set you can add the Kff to the bike or just mod a gun with a needle on it for the painboy.

I cut the rotors and top and skids off of a deffkopta, cut a AOBR warboss in half, changed his face and put him on the deffkopta with spare bits.
I'll put up a picture soon

It is orks so you can do it however you want. But like others said its easy to just take the top half and put it on the biker legs. What really helps is kustomizing the bike too. Gives it more character.

In the Ork Nob kit, there are two, maybe 3 bodies that will straddle a warbike perfectly with no conversion. See below for my Ork Warboss and my Painboy. Note that I used some wheels from the Trukk Kit to make my bike a trike.
Both of these use the Ork Nob torso and legs, and for the painboy I just put a biker arm on him.

For warbosses on Bikes;
The deffkopta body (which is attached to the actual kopta) makes a great start point for a bike conversion. You have quite a large body and its very easy to add some chunky warboss like arms, the kopta itself is also very easy to turn into a larger bike (suitable for a warboss).
Secondly Meks on bikes, I tend to stick with a smaller body like a simple Nob on bike and then just really go to town on jazzing up the bike. Orks do get bigger the tougher they are, but your also forgetting that you could simply have a smaller warboss who's more kunnin' but brutal. AKA you don't mess with him cos his gunz will mess you up. To that degree I have a SAG bike with quite a small mek on it.
