SHENMUE 3 IS ALMOST HERE!

Did they make the level required to make it open world?

You are kidding right? This entire kickstarter was a sham from the start. The second it got funded Sony revealed they were in fact funding the game, Kickstarter was nothing more then a way to check if people were interested.

Sony are only doing the marketing and porting. Real game development is on the kickstarter. The game will be free roam (but around the same size as shenmue 1). That rumor has been disproved.

Yeah, not buying it.

The budget for Shenmue 1 was 70 million. Now you are trying to make me believe they will make 3 on less then a 10th of that?

Kickstarter = No buy and beside the whole concept of the game seems somewhat shoddy at best

Ya the budget has always been fishy.

The game can't and wont be as groundbreaking as the first two. but sony and Yu Suzuki have made the budget very clear.

Here's a direct quote from Yu Suzuki.

“Sony and Shibuya Productions have been wonderful partners because they believe in Shenmue and want to see the best for the fans and the game,” Yu Suzuki said in a blog post. “Their investment in (and support of) Shenmue have helped to realize a sequel that will stand proud with its predecessors."

There you go, INVESTMENT. Sony and Shibuya believed so much in the product they needed to see a kickstarter succeed before they would even get on the boat.
