Subject: Creating a real ork mob, with your help! - the Dakka Dakka Clan - Final Call, this is ending 1 April

I bet you thought I was dead. Nope, but I have had two kids since starting this thread, so that is PRETTY CLOSE TO THE SAME THING.
Anyway, I realise that this has dragged out, so I am putting a hard stop on it - 1st April, or thereabouts, I am going to get oadie and Buttery Commissar to ship the orks they have to me, and then base them and take all the final shots for this project - I may end up donating them, or putting them on display, or whatever - I have no idea. I have still never played a game of 40k, and I can't see that changing in the future, so I don't need them.
SO, I have sent a message out to everyone on the list and asked that they finish up by then if they intend to.

I have just PMd all of the original North American brohirrim, and hope that they will still be able to paint. Most of you are rather prolific posters, so I know you're still alive.
Why on earth am I PMing you when I don't have orks for you? WELL MAYBE I DO? DIDNT THINK ABOUT THAT DID YOU?!?!??!
There will be an update soon(tm), but I have firm reason to believe that soon(tm) you will all be holding an ork, ready for paint.
I am also about to PM all of the ~in progress~ orks that have been delivered to ROYAL BRITTANIA and her colonies to see how you're all doing. No judgement here, I love you all and whatever, but don't make me Jimmy Whales eyes you. I'll do it, I swear to god.

US models will be shipping out soon, oadie is pretty busy at the moment due to a whole lot of misfortune - please be patient, the waaaagh will wait.

There is no due date folks, add them to your painting queue and do your best when you feel like painting them!

Shipping is happening today - ALL MODELS ARE ALLOCATED, everyone is getting one single model for maximum randomness. If you still want to join in, you will need to donate - I won't pay for your plastic, but will happily pay for your shipping. I don't mean to be a jerk, but it should be fair to all. Each package that reaches you will have a small set of instructions with it covering the very few requirements for this, as well as return addresses and labels. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS!

An idea formed in the "I paint your model" thread that if I sent out a stack of orks to a lot of different people with a vague idea of what clan they're from, they resulting differences between them all would look amazingly orky.
So here we are, if you would like to paint an ork or two, I will send them to you - you paint them at your leisure, and send them back when you can. I'm happy to pay for the postage back, obviously.
The models themselves are from Assault on Black Reach, so I am going to make them part of the Goff ClanMAN am I dumb, this should obviously be the Dakka Dakka Clan - that said, I don't really care - if you can just make them look orky, I will be more than happy. You can feel free to customize them, do an amazing paint job, do a super horrible paint job, dip them, battle damage, whatever - there is literally no way you can go wrong, unless you are Buttery Commissar and intend to paint them hot pink, which while it MIGHT work in some capacity, I don't want to encourage it.
Dirty, filthy, green orks - black gear, red/yellow/blue accent colour, checkerboard accents if you can - I literally don't care - this is your homebrew ork clan as much as mine
The only thing I'll ask, is don't base them - I will base them myself to ensure cohesion with the entire lot of them. Oh, and please send them back, finished or not
I would like EVERYONE that has the desire to do this, regardless of skill level, to feel free to join in - they are orks, you cannot stuff this up, no matter how bad you think your painting is, and I will appreciate your help.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, write your name on the bottom of the base or something so I can make sure to keep track of who is who
Sounds interesting. How many orks are you trying to have in total? If it's not too small of an amount I may do it... I just don't want to be embarrassed by my painting (I'm not THAT bad. Don't get scared.)
If more people are interested, I can probably dig another box out - I think I have stormclaw here somewhere.
