A horror film you say?
MDG, we have a movie for you.

There’s a second The Simpsons movie coming in 2027.
That’s as far from the release of the first Simpsons movie as the first movie was from The Simpsons’ debut on [s]Tracy Ullman[/b] Trace That Almond. And it’s 30 years away from the last good Simpsons episode.

I haven't been this excited since I found out that Nicolas Cage will be reprising his (silent) role in a sequel to Willy's Wonderland...

So I felt compelled to watch the trailer... upon casual inspection I would say the tv show star is aging out of the role and they wanted one last cash in?
In an unprecedented awards season move, indie studio IFC has unleashed an open letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — signed by none other than Indy, the breakout canine star of “Good Boy.” The letter, humorous yet heartfelt, calls for the inclusion of animal actors in the Oscars’ acting categories, arguing it’s high time Hollywood gave its four-legged performers the recognition they deserve.
“Despite my critically acclaimed role in the recent film ‘Good Boy,’ — I have been deemed ineligible for the Best Actor category,” Indy laments in the letter obtained exclusively by Variety and distributed by IFC. “Apparently, I am not a good enough boy for you.”

... and the one that I'm really looking forward to!

After the second-season finale "Echoes of Eternity" aired on September 16, 2022, Genndy Tartakovsky confirmed that while Spear and Fang's story was officially concluded, he was formulating a third season for the series with a focus on new characters, intending for Primal to become an anthology series
So, we don't know who that is, but it's NOT Spear.

That was the original intention for Primal Season 3, but Tartakovsky changed his mind. This is from an Entertainment Weekly article (warning, has major spoiler for anyone who has not seen the first couple seasons):
Spoiler:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Is this an undead Spear story?
GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY: Yeah! He's a zombie. I'm not gonna talk about how he became one. We'll obviously reveal it in the show. I finished the [season 2] story and I was moving on. Then I started to have second thoughts. I just spent 20 episodes having people care, and then I kill off the main character, which is okay, but then, what are my options? The other stuff I was doing wasn't feeling quite right, maybe because I hadn't finished the story. And because we had that "Plague of Madness" episode in the first season where it was a zombie dinosaur, this is part of our world. It's pulp. It's the ultimate pulpy thing, the undead.

Absolutely. Looking forward to this one. Trigun: Stampede was really solid in spite of the fanbase throwing a fit over the redesigns. As soon as it was clear that it was being written linearly with everything building towards the July incident I've been looking forward to see baby Vash grow into his more iconic iteration. They did a really great job expanding out July and retelling the story. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with the main plot in these series.

Wasn’t sure where else to put this….
Sigourney Weaver has confirmed there’s a new Alien script, featuring Ellen Ripley.
I’m cautiously optimistic. The same cautious optimism I expressed for Romulus and Alien Earth. Both of which were superb, even if the ending of Alien Earth was a bit wonky, as we’re not yet guaranteed a second season.

Fede Alvarez won't be directing the sequel. He was supposed to helm the project, but he's instead passing the baton this time around. "We just finished the script for a sequel, but I'm gonna pass the torch on this one as director," Álvarez told TooFab at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. Álvarez will stay on as producer alongside Ridley Scott, while a new filmmaker is being sought to take the reins for the fall shoot. "I think that's usually what has happened, except for Ridley. Filmmakers come, you make one, and you pass the baton," Álvarez said. He emphasized that he wanted to continue the Romulus storyline but is leaving the execution to someone else: "We love the story, and now we just want to find a director that really wants to go for the jugular." Instead, Álvarez will focus on an original project he co-wrote with Sayagues, which he described only as something that's been "on the back burner for a while."
