I purchased an A wing from amazon last week and it came today. I was so excited to open it that I ripped it open and flung part everywhere. Now I can't find the plastic rivet to my movement dial. Has anyone found bulk alternatives to the rivets that come with x wing minis? or am I boned now? I sent in a request to FFG this morning and am waiting on them, but wondered if there was an alternative to getting a whole new kit that I could help myself to.

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature. |

Ask locally. My core sets came with extras. Someone might have a spare for you.

I would do this, but my LGS doesn't like x wing for some reason. My brother and I are the only two kids in the greater Pittsburgh area that like x wing, it seems

Contact FFG and they'll send you a new one, it's the easiest way to go about getting a new one. I also promise you that there are lots of X-Wing players in Pittsburgh. Try these guys: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pittsburghxwing/

A lot of people miss that the 'rivets' are in a small bag tucked underneath the ship model itself in the packaging. If that's the only bit you're missing, perhaps it's still wedged in there?
If not, there's a UK eBay seller with movement dials, including the A wing. There might be similar in the US.
Other than that, I've had a spare in both of the huge ships I have, but never any others. So you could always buy a Corvette!

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.” |

I put in a ticket with customer service for missing and damaged parts, if that's what you mean, or is there a way to get a person on the line via phone/ email?

I noticed that about the lack of x wing in the Pittsburgh area. If you make the ride to the Youngstown Ohio area there is a x wing tournament at one of the three stores that carry it.. Crystal dragon, fantastic games, or all American comics. Check out their Facebook pages for more information on tournament dates

Its actually funny how many LGS hate X-wing. My FLGS shoves both Attack Wing games down everyone's throats, trying to bill them as the "better" game... when in reality it is just obvious that they have a good relationship with the horrid company that is Wizkids. It isn't a fan bias either... but they will outright miscommunicate the differences between the games in an effort to push sales of their former OP Kits/Prize ships, etc...

I would say this it OT, but we were off topic by the third post and its my fault. Anyway, I've never had any experience with wizkids. why are they horrid?

Abysmal quality control, no internal balance, a rules-writing division that makes Game's Workshop look capable, a fondness for blind-boosters, selling over-powered or interesting pieces exclusively at conventions (and then making players hunt down over-priced Ebay resales), are all just the beginning of the model which they have applied to every single game they make.
The wife and I were devoted Heroclix players until we realized that Wizkids is even more abusive to its fanbase than GW.

Make a replacement pin..... use a plastic straw (Mc'd's) would be good. cut a piece slightly larger then the thickness of the 2 plates and slice the side if you need to make it smaller or bigger then get some paper and roll it as tight as you can and make it somewhat a tight fit then cut the paper off at about 1/8 inch on either side and fan it out a bit to hold in place... use a marker to color it black if you like..... JERRY RIG FTW..... the straw is optional but it will let it spin better and protect the paper center

Oh, I didn't think of that! Thanks! I will try that while I wait on FFG to get back to me
