Ok guys and girls my googlefu is not strong right now and trying to find pics or a tutorial on how to model energy damage to things like buildings and tanks. So any help would be great full.

Soldering Iron? That is what I have used on my tank models.

I drill a small hole, widen it with a knife and then hold it over a candle, so the edges melt slightly and crumple. I think it looks like it's been cooked by a Melta or Plasma Gun.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Hot glue might give you the desired effect. You can dab it on and let it drip a little bit. Ive done something similar and used a spray bottle with cold water to keep the glue from dripping too much

Either a wood burner tool or a soldering iron tool from any kit shop, the soldering iron will be good for just doing decent holes. While the wood burner can be used to make jagged rupture lines in the hull and walls of buildings. However, there is still some amount of structural damage to a brick and mortar building when it is hit by plasma.

I think using the burner tool to form out a large enough hole too your liking, and then make serrated edges with a hobby knife. Follow this with maybe some agrax and then a singed color of dry brush to make the damage pop. The agrax could be put on after the dry brush, but I find the two oppose each other too much when done in that order.

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?
