Leaves me 3 points over.

I'm thinking that in malestrom this list would be pretty fun, the respawning min. gargs with ObSec will be useful. Has a decent amount of killing power, and the combination of 5 FMCs with the 2+ armour tyrannofex should provide some targeting headaches...

May lack a certain amount of punch, but having all the gaunts potentially coming back will at least give me some persistent presence in the backfield...

As you've got ObSec from Skyblight why not go for a cheaper troops choice in the CAD? Also as you have devilgaunts in the Endless Swarm wouldn't it make sense to run a Trygon?

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Are you suggesting mucolids in that case? Rippers are the cheapest troops I have access to modelwise, but I could proxy up some mucos for fun. I was considering it but felt that two would probably be more efficient than one. Have you much experience running one trygon as opposed to 2 with this formation? So with that in mind I plumped for a podded t-fex. Just one trygon could complement my army better, but at the same time the t-fex is a bit more survivable and packs the haywire template, which I really think I need in this army really.

Trygon is cheaper and makes the Endless Swarm so much more effective. Yes 2 Trygons is better than 1 but it still has 6 wounds and you've got target saturation from the FMCs.

I would also consider finding points for a Venomthrope.

Changing 'fex for trygon and rippers for mucolids leaves me points in hand... I feel these should go into anti-armour.

Getting there is a big part of the battle. Also there's no really easy AT fix for Nids...

No, and thats why I was keen on the T-fex. I might try out hive guard, they might have a place in this army.

And perhaps I'll swap 1 zoanthrope for a malanthrope.

That's a good idea Malanthropes give you synapse and shrouding. All you've lost AT wise is 1 haywire hit.

Well, Zoey can in theory shoot a tank. Sorry to rain on the parade, but Endless requires Brood of Warriors...I don't see one. so that will likely eat up any extra points.
