Ironclad assault launchers? is this piece of equipment worth it's points cost on the ironclads? for me it always get tossed out of my list to make room for other stuff but I think I am starting to see why it might useful. That -1 attack to powerfist sergeants and such on the charge can go along way to surviving or deterring such an assault. This happens alot since try to drop right near infantry units

You take assault launchers so your dread can plow through Terrain, which he should do to eat tanks.

So you would use them? The assault launcher don't give him a movement buff. It just removes the penalty to initiative, which doesn't really come into play against non-walker vehicles

I'd say not worth it. They're gonna have 6 attacks on the charge and at AV13.

I guess only if you got 10 points laying around.

I always take them. Negating an attack from every model that charges you can really hurt a unit, unless they have melta bombs. It also cancels out rage and rampage.

The Iron Waagh: 10,000+ 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-7-1
Salamanders: 5,000 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-2
Ultramarines: 4,000
Armored Battle Company (DKoK): 4000
Elysians: 500
