As someone who has attempted to paint this scheme multiple times over the last twenty or so years, the second picture is your best chance of making it look good. Doing the entire armor in the original scheme just looks silly when it comes down to it. Its just too busy a paint scheme to work right. The second pic limits the palette a bit and should work well.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs

I hear ya! My paint skills are pretty good, so I should do well on that tiger stripe shoulder/head/shin.... Should I do the backpacks in stripes too? Samples of my work -
