so what type of boltgun style should i use with my alpha legion Mk6 marines? can i use the ones in the below picture?



I know the on pictured is a master crafted one but this newest style/ version be ok to use?


and as for other marks of armour eg. Mk2, Mk3 & Mk4 what types and styles go with which Mk of armour? tigrus? phobos? ferrox?

Almost anything is fair game, that bolter is most common in 40k but it's been in art for 30k so it's cool to. Almost every mark of bolter is available and in use by every legion, though i'd say personally phobos has a look more akin to heavy attack legions like iron warriors than sneaky guys

Mk6 is rare during the heresy with most of it going to the raven guard, however it really fits Alpha Legion to

mk5 is actually more of a loyalist armour since their supply lines were hit so badly

mk2/3 both fit perfectly fine but don't exactly fill the 'sneaky' archetype, that the Alpha's stick to

mk4 is modern, was widely available for traitor forces and was in many ways the most desireable and thus the most likely to be stolen, again that really fits with what the legion did, i'd go with that

IIRC Mk6 used the umbra ferox pattern.

I dont recall if godwins were made during the heresy

Though late heresy maybe.
