The rules state that a warcaster may only cast 1 copy of an upkeep spell a turn - therefore, it seems that:

Example:  Deneghra upkeeps parasite on a Juggernaut - she is then free to recast parasite that turn.

1.  Is the Juggernaut a valid target?

2.  Do the 2 instances of parasite stack?

3.  What if Deneghra casts parasite on a Juggernaut, and then Asphyxious also casts parasite on a target.  Does this stack?

I don't have a copy of Prime handy...  so any help would be appreciated.

I believe there is a line that states that if the spell is recast, then the previous incarnaiton of the spell immediately ends.

What about the case where Denny and Gaspy cast the same spell?  What if Jr casts arcane shield and Stryker does the same?  Does that conflict - and does it stack?

The rules on upkeep spells are:

1) A warcaster can only upkeep one of each of his upkeep spells
2) A model can only have one upkeep spell on it at a time.

So in your first question: The Juggernaut will have one parasite on it in all instances because of #2. Furthermore, if Deneghra were to cast Parasite on the Juggernaut and then cast it on a Destroyer, it would no longer be on the Juggernaut.

If Stryker casts Arcane Shield on a unit of say Sword Knights Junior is free to cast it on any other unit. If he casts it on the Sword Knights, then Stryker's shield goes away.

Based on the 1 upkeep at a time - wouldn't that mean that arcane shield on an Ironclad could be removed by casting parasite on the same model - is it one upkeep spell / side or total?

One per side.

There was a specific example of this somewhere (I'm not sure if it was in Primal, or on the PP forums, but I read it recently). Enemy upkeeps do not cancel yours, and vice versa.

A model may only have 1 friendly and 1 enemy upkeep on it at a time. Subsequent upkeeps cancel the previous. (IE If denny Parasites, then Lich does, Lich's replaces Denny's). You may upkeep a spell then cast the spell at a different target, but it will cancel the original. (This can be tactically useful IE Upkeep CG on a 'jack, mangle it, then activate Denny and cast it on a new 'jack).

Effects of the same name do not stack unless specified otherwise (see the Greylord Ternion for an example where they would stack).
