I play dark angels and have been thinking about haveing a drop pod list/ partially drop pod list that has some ML1 librarians going telepathy to toss out psychic shriek to stick in some melta tac squads. maybe give an auspex to him also

could this work at all?

I don't see why it couldn't, honestly.

Though I would also strongly consider looking at the Dark Angels specific powers as some of them, if used correctly, are cagey as hell and a lot of fun.

I also would recommend going ahead and taking a pair of Mastery Level 2 Librarians as your HQ choices, and consider putting one, or both of them, in a single command squad. Give your command squad storm shields and whatever other weapons you want so that your Librarians can defer to 3+ armor, 3+ Invulnerable saves on their squad thanks to Look Out Sir! rolls. It does add points to your list, but it makes the squad a lot more survivable when you pile out of the drop pod and then have to take return fire after you've cast your psychic powers and shot.

Just offering some thoughts on that end. Take it easy and best of luck.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I've actually toyed with the idea of a 5-man suicide melta squad in a drop pod with a lvl-1 libby that can cast prescience on his unit. Expensive, but it might just bag that troublesome LR squadron or even a Knight with a bit of luck.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

I think that could definetly work... But rolling on the Dark Angel's Interromancy powers could work well too- those powers can be BRUTAL!
