List building (and model purchasing) I am wondering how people feel about min sized 3 man Bike squads, grav and plasma with combis, would be in a Maelstrom, non Tournament scene?

5 used to be required to unlock as Troops, but now we can go min, which is my preferred play style especially since most of the shooting that can kill 3 bikes easy, can kill 5 just as easy. Are these two extra bodies worth it for survivability? Or is saving points for more bodies else where the better investment?

Eh, depends on your chapter. I prefer 5-6 as Ravenwing, because with 3, if one dies, you automatically have to take a LD check.

I prefer five, you've got ablative wounds, also you don't have to take a leadership and suddenly run away 3D6 for when you fail.

Also have slight OCD and the 5 man squad nicely slots into 1500 point lists I make,

I've been running squads of three for max grav on the board. Most of the time it wrecks, but it won't always... Vehicle parking lots tend to be my bane, which is why I started taking a Knight Crusader.
