The Portal is running an 1,850pt 40K event 9th January, perfect for LVO practice

What: 1,850pts, ITC army design and mission format, 3 rounds
Price: $20

Not sure what the size of this will be, but since we're playing it up ITC rules/style, have you guys considered reaching out to them and seeing if this can be a for-points event as well? Just curious!

I'd like to, but I think I might be screwed on this one. The NYC Bloodbowl League starts that day and it's always a great chance to get your farm team through a ton of games in one go.. I'm a maybe at the moment.

I recently moved to the east coast. I'm going to LVO this year and I am looking for practice events. This event will be about a 2 hour drive for me so I would like to know if it is possible to reserve a spot. Thanks in advance.

You don't need to reserve a spot for the event - if you're on facebook you can find the store (The Portal) and put yourself down as coming. There's room for 30 players without adding extra tables, and usually the crowd is between 14 and 24 or so though I expect that will rise as people find out about the prize support the manager gives away

There is not a painting requirement for this event (the store doesn't usually have a painting requirement for their events).

Big shout out to The Portal for the great event yesterday. 36 people in attendance. Awesome store. Great TO and staff. Great tables and terrain. Well worth the 2 hour drive. I will definitely be at the next event. Keep up the good work!

Was certainly worth the drive. Our people from Albany all had a solid time. Hope to see you all at ours in Feb!

For what its worth the wife and I went to the portal for an event recently and it really is a terrific venue, and seems to be a terrific player base. Well worth the 2hr drive for Kings of War, so I imagine just as worthy for 40k.
