Hello all!

Can anyone point me towards the last update from our friends at SAS regarding shipping timelines? I had it in my head that the shipping target was 12/29, but didn't see any updates. I know that patience is a virtue, but my wife leaves today for an 18 day trip and I was really hoping to get the pledge soon since I'll have so much free time for hobby stuff. I did see that wave 2 should be shipping in January, but I don't know when wave 1 is going out.

For context, I completed the pledge manager in time to be in the first wave of shipping.

Hi Kriswall, some were shipped out yesterday, most were shipped out today and the last few are going out tomorrow. There is a small glitch in our email system which means the 'shipping in progress' emails wont go out exactly on time, but the box sets will. In many cases, people will get the 'your item has been shipped' emails after they get the box set.

Shipping to the US will take anything from 2-3 days to 2-3 weeks, but usually gets there within a few days. Unless US customs hate you, you should certainly have it in hand while your wife is away.

We've already had a number of emails and messages today letting us know that the box sets are arriving in people's hands and we'll have a general update sent out late tonight as well with assembly diagrams and card game rules.

Thanks for your support!

Awesome! My plan is to put these models to the front of the "hobby queue" and get them assembled/painted very quickly. I'll definitely be posting pictures as that happens.

Just out of curiosity, who are you shipping through?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

We prefer not to disclose our industry partners, as being a small industry it often puts pressure on them from other companies using the same services. Needless to say, they have been doing a great job so far and we have had a smooth experience with everything on schedule.

That's fine. I was just wondering if I needed to watch for FedEx, or UPS or something.

If your order says 'packing in progress' on the medge website, it has now been shipped. Shipping confirmation emails are still delayed due to a small bug.

If I order more stuff through the website, how is shipping to the UK handled? Is it direct from the US meaning it will be liable for VAT and duty payments?

No, all shipping is done through the UK as that is where the warehouse is, so no UK or European customers are ever liable for VAT (we have to pay it).

Will there be any emails sent out with tracking info? I know some of us are super excited and would love to be able to track our packages.

Peace.

95% of orders are untracked shipments, but we'll be in touch for those who have tracking codes. Deciding on tracking vs direct is done by weight rather than order value too.

If we completed the Pledge Manager on 28th October and had our shipping/picking/packing email on 23rd December. At what point (in the UK) should we get worried that the postman's now playing with our MEdge set?

I tried dabbling with 40k9/10 again and tried AoS3 - Nice models, naff games, but I'm enjoying HH2 and loving Battletech Classic and Alpha Strike.

Also, mine says "in packing", not "packing in progress". Is that a problem? I completed my pledge manager before the deadline.

Sorry, same thing - your order has indeed been shipped. Apologies for any confusion!

I'd give it until Jan 8th for the UK - the silly season plays havoc with mail efficiency in some areas.

Unexpectedly received mine today. Was there supposed to be a code in the box to give the off download?

Good looking models. And the terrain stuff was way chunkier than I thought it would be. Looking at the ME site now for the drone assembly pictures

Hi srukknik, the digital rulebook download will be automatically associated with your maelstromsedge.com account when our proper webstore goes live later this month/early next month. Apologies for the delay, but there is no missing code at least. If you cant wait, email support@maelstromsedge.com and they'll hook you up with a link to download the current version.

Okay. I'm good to wait. Was just worried I may have thrown something out. Thanks for the response.

I like the universal kit nature of the drones. Now to find some alternative chassis bits so I can use all the spider legs.

Would the spare Hunter forearm fit on the spider legs? I don't have my box yet, but that's one of the first things I'll be looking at.

1 of 2 arrived on Tuesday. 2 of 2 arrived on Wednesday.

All in all shipping was much better than CZE's Ghostbusters game...

Just got mine today and I can't wait to get started putting these models together!

Doesn't matter how I came by it. Point is, this is the genuine article: a Space Marine bolter. Cursed? Only if you get caught with it. Here, I'll show you how easy it is.

I got mine delivered yesterday. The game box was torn-up on one edge (only about 1" in length) and the rulebook corners were dinged-up. I think maybe in the future plastic wrapping the rulebook might prevent this? Or putting it in an envelope/sleeve?

But holy crap that's a lot of stuff!

I do not regret my purchase at all. I can't wait to read through the full rules so that I know how to kit-out my guys for maximum dakka.

Thanks for an awesome Kickstarter and here's to many years of gaming with Maelstrom's Edge!

My box arrived today!

The condition of it wasn't too bad. There's one dent in the center edge of the box.

I'll second ziggurattt in that my book edges are pretty dinged up.
