Can you stack 2 of the coven's imprisons ontop of one another?

IIRC Imprison is an upkeep spell, so no. The latter replaces the former. I will double check the book when I get home from work today, though.

I was fairly sure that Imprison wasn't an upkeep spell - hence its high cost of 4 focus.  (- still inconsequential to the girl's 9 total) - What about Gaspy's poison cloud spell... I'm sure that's not upkeep - does the damage from entering that AOE effect stack?

Nevermind... Imprison is "non upkeep" - "once per turn".

Yeah, you were correct, Imprison is not UP. I did not check if Gaspy's BOC is 1x per turn, though. Generally, though an effect like that would not stack- either you are inside the effect (and suffer the consequences) or not, so overlapping template areas with the same effect is wasteful.

I checked Gaspy's BOC - and it is an upkeep(!) spell.  I was originally going to use Feora's firewall as an example, but that is upkeep as well.  Looks like Privateer is doing a bang-up job of keeping the rules loopholes to a minimum - unlike some other companies I know.

This won't come up often, but what happens if you are playing a team game and you - for sake of arguement - throw up an imprision, and then Feora throws a firewall on the guys stuck in there. There doesn't seem to be any ruling against stacking AOE effects, since you should be able to throw a firewall onto those pesky smoked trenchers, as long as it is within the spell range (I believe the range of firewall is CASTER).  Bwahahah - burn baby burn!

In that case it is two separate effects, so no problem. Same thing with say smoke and BoC. What I was referring to is that two templates of the same effect do not stack. IE no double smoke.
