Reposting here as it has lots of information for everyone, not just backers!

The deadline is drawing close if you want to get in on the next planned wave of shipping for Maelstrom's Edge - you need to have completed the Maelstrom's Edge pledge manager/pre-order page by Jan 20th to get in on the January shipping. We'll have another shipping window in Feb as well, and we also hope to launch our full web store by then if integration goes smoothly.

Unboxing
If you've not seen the contents of the Maelstrom's Edge Battle for Zycanthus box set yet, two of our generous backers have put up some great unboxing videos on youtube which can be found at these links:

and

Assembly Instructions
We've added the last few units to our assembly instructions at http://www.maelstromsedge.com/build - we highly recommend least reading through them once for important guidelines which will make your build much easier such as notes on paired arms on certain models, orientation and assembly notes for fiddly parts, etc.

A bunch of our backers and friends have been working on their Maelstrom's Edge models recently and sharing the results online. These include:

If you've shared images or details of your models and efforts, then please share them with us as we absolutely love seeing what you are all making! The Maelstrom's Edge forum on dakka at: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/show/90.page is the best place to post them and to see things people have shared.

Sales and Marketing
Finally, we are moving towards normal retail sales of our game right now. If you are involved in professional tabletop game distribution and we've not already been in touch, please send us a message as now's the time! We are also actively seeking an individual skilled in sales and marketing who can help us reach the widest audience possible. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in such a role then please send an email to support@maelstromsedge.com and say hello!

Thank You!
It has been an absolute pleasure seeing the positive response from our backers this past month, so thank you very much for your support, your kind words and your eagerness. We are already hard at work on the next models and releases filled with your feedback and motivated by your positivity!

Thanks

So, should we post pictures here instead of the news and rumors thread?

The Scarecrow conversion is pretty simple, and I expect to see a lot of similar approaches. The other little conversion is something we all knew was coming.

I understand there's a bug that makes iPad photos look blurry, and it probably has a simple solution, but I don't know what it is.

Anyway, Does the bipedal drone need more weapons? What do you think?

Thanks! I had a lot of trouble with the hip joints, so I'm glad to hear the conversion looks good.

Love the walking drone Bob, great idea. Got a real ED209 vibe to it.

@SAS I'm glad you guys like my Karists. They were a joy to paint, I'm looking forward to tackling the rest of the box.

Nice walker there Bob, What bit did you use for the pelvis?

Edit: Nevermind, just realized its the chemtek sprayer tank. Nice work again!

Love the walker drone Bob!

Maybe try one of the Hunter's rocket pods on the top?

I used the Scarecrow's chemtek sprayer. I cut off the elbow to use in the maglock gun and noticed that the remaining angle fits under the drone perfectly, so I cut off the nozzle and the ridge on the top. Scarecrow hips are not shaped ideally to attach on the sides like Theropod legs, so the hips took a lot of adjusting and glue.

The conversion does leave a Scarecrow legless, but with some small tank treads I can Johnny 5 him up.

Hmmm. Good suggestion. Either on the top or on each side to bulk him out more, maybe. Need to find my blue tack.
