Sorry if this is already somewhere on Dakka. I did a search and did not see it.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hero Combat System:

Each Hero player in the game receives their own custom set of dice and Special Move cards uniquely matched to their character's fighting style.

While it's fun to have your own unique dice and moves, what really sets this game apart is the shared dice mechanic once combat begins.

Each round, every Hero player simultaneously rolls their dice then lays them out in front of their play area, strategically positioning their dice from left to right in order to lend help to their fellow players.

This means that on the active player's turn, they'll have access to their own dice and their teammates' closest dice on each side of their character. This innovative system helps save players from useless rolls and thematically expresses how closely knit the team is. The only way to defeat the Foot Clan is to truly fight as one. It's the ultimate co-operative system.

Looks interesting. I'll be watching this one.

Nice.

That's odd. IIRC WizKids previewed their TMNT clix game last summer at Gencon. After all these years of nothing, there will be two competing turtle minis game lines? Conan in 2015 and TMNT in 2016...

More interesting than TWD kickstarter. And cool sounding team dice cooperation. But there's better ninja turtle sculpts out there already...

Oh look, another established IP at ye old Beggar's Post. I guess having a Saturday morning cartoon, an aisle full of toys at Walmart, and a couple of multi-million dollar films under you belt in recent years doesn't leave much extra to fund your own miniatures game!

Really?
I feel this is even worse value than the TWD KS. It's a lot cheaper I suppose and perhaps the actual game is better (I haven't educated myself on either).

I get a weird vibe from this one. Like the Ghostbusters one. Something about it seems off. As much as I loved TMHT when I was a kid, this doesn't even tempt me.

There isn't much info on game play yet, but we know it comes with a minimum of 34 figures at the cheap level, which is more than Mantic's game currently offers, and at a better price. It looks like at least 10 of the tokens (5 thug gunners and 5 brawlers) will end up as figures if stretch goals are met.

Does model count really matter? We all have plenty of models I'm sure.. These seem like fairly low quality models. After all, if price per model is what mattered the most then people would use army men as IG

And yet, EVERY Mantic and similar KS you see folks looking at number of figures and cost per as a way of determining value and comparing with other projects. You don't have to like it, but to think that does not and is not happening would be silly.

Seems like they are awaiting approval from the licensor on their content.

Same as TWD.

Same as AvP.

And July fulfillment?

I knew my spidey senses were tingling for a reason.

Look closer, you only get the original versions if you pledge the higher levels. Regular backers get the version of the turtles from the newest movie, with the egg shaped heads and weird lips.

Besides the Eastman retro figures these are based on the Nickelodeon cartoon, right?

I agree with others, this tugs slightly at my nostalgia strings, bu not enough to pledge. If they have some of the early 90's characters/designs unlocked later I could maybe get excited, but who da hell is Alopex and Karai? Where is Baxter Stockman and Krang? Beebop? Rocksteady?

If they are banking on nostalgic 80's and 90's kids backing this then give us something to be excited about!

It is always nice to see small, unknown IPs get some exposure thanks to KS. Now finally people will know who the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are.

He-Man the KS better be somewhere on this list, or I'll get passive-aggressive! And you won't like me when I'm passive-aggressive...

I am honestly floored there isn't a GI JOE miniatures game yet. I mean that universe is built for it!

Those Eastman throwback sculpts are great. Just not $150 pledge, or even $60 premium great.

Likewise. The exact same game came to mind, and with Ghostbusters in the wild, and apparently a horrible mess of a game, it makes me less likely to buy on nostalgia alone here.

QFT.

I mean, the pizza box is nice design, but it's need to be something pretty epic for me to be willing to throw cash at a major IP via kickstarter, since they directly compete with people actually trying to get out there.

AVP almost got me, glad they didn't, and TNMT sure as hell isn't.

Nice - I was never a big TMNT fan - but I'm glad to see they went retro with the look of the box and the sculpts.

More recent turtle efforts have looked really weird (like that last movie where they had nostrils).

Does April look like a teen to you?

Karai is a OG from the Mirage comic she takes over the Foot after Shredder is killed.

Alopex on the other hand is from IDW so no older the 2011.

As for Stockman I wonder if the go with the Mirage version or the cartoon version.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.
