Ok, it has been a While of thinking and pondering. And finally it will begin.
This will serve as a blog and to keep track of this chapter.
The chapter i will be starting is a spacemarine chapter, but one like none before (well i hope to think so)
There are first founding chapters that have been deleted from the records and i strive to bring one to light.the imperial ghosts. This chapter cosists of one individual marine from every chapter within the vast group of chapters. Each representing and honouring the true purpose of the code of space marines.
While they wear and represent theyr chapter armour they also wear a golden shoulder armour of this elite unknown chapter that gets passed onto the next marine to wear if slain in combat.
These marines put aside the conflict of man vs man and strive to do what marines were bred for and that is to protect mankind from all those forces that threaten it.
"We were here at the begining, and we shall be here to the end, To live and to die for the imperium we strive"
- ghost legion motto

Thanks kb, i checked out deathwatch. Ya like deathwatch, only difference being that they will be painted in theyr own respective chapter colours.

That sounds pretty cool actually, I think Para started on something similar -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/1650/615960.page#8415173

Coherence is the main issue, how are they all going to be linked?

You could probably do a reverse deathwatch idea, have their right pauldrons with an Imperial Ghosts identifier (the punisher symbol would be amazing)

Thanks, gonna have one of the pouldrens in gold, with some type of insignia. The idea being that if he is slain that shoulder pad gets sent back to his chapter and his succesor will take it over. So it will be very aged and damaged. theyr bases would also all be the same, trying to decide if it will be lava bases or blue lightning coming out the ground. Also the units i am going to try have the veteran in the squad be one of the founding chapters and the succesor chapters the rest of the squad. Havinf the older chapters be more damaged than the younger ones. I dont play much so will be more of i personal project. Got my hands on a bunch of snapfit marines and gathering up bitz from wherever, ti trie and capture each chapter as close as possible. Doing convertion work alone on the snapfit minis will be a daunting task on its own.

Well got my marines in the post. Got 51 in total. Yes they are snapfit but i got them for a bargain. Busy cleaning them now and boy do these buggers have alot of die lines. But for less than half a dollar each im not surprised. Will be posting as i go along. Not too sure how to do the personal blog but this will have to do for now.

This is just to show what snapfits i have to my disposal. and this is what i have managed to do this far on my first vet/sargeant of the first squad , he will be representing the sallamanders. I have some purity seals that are made of greenstuff that still needs to be attached, so instead of a boltgun i gave him a plasma pistol and a chainsword, both of was chaos so removed the spiky parts and i removed the back teeth of the chainsword. Oh ya and there was a couple of those material things in the bitz box i received and removed his pouch as this had one aswell as a grenade of some sort. No1 of my ghosts in progress atleast. C&c welcome. Keep splicing!

As for the relic i will be adding this to the model, will be attempting a relic from each chapter.

I know it says vulcan is wearing it, but he uses all 3 wearable relics. So this will have to suffice.

That Sally Sergeant is very impressive, especially for the conversion of a snap kit. The Dragons are an awesome Chapter, and coming along nicely!

I know you just have snap fits for the moment, but I'd love to see what you could do with the treasure trove of convertible parts that is the Tactical Squad box set!

Thanks paradigm, got 51 of them to get through. So the poses should get better and hopefully my painting too.

I'm actually really impressed with how you've converted that first snap-fit marine.
You seem to have skills, and the courage to go for a slightly less conventional conversion

Might I recommend trying to get a hold of the snap-fit Captain from the AoBR starter. They're OOP but there's sure to be a few floating around if you can afford the luxury.
I had heaps of fun converting that model into a Legion of the Damned Captain for my custom army.
Spoiler:
Absolutely shameless self-promotion:

I look forward to seeing the progress of your army

Actually, this will probably be the closest you'll get to an AoBR captain...
Almost identical pose and probably better details

thanks, as i dont have any vehicles to repair i decided to replace the servo arms with multi meltas, the techmarine will be equiped with a convertion beamer. So instead of fixing stuff the trio will hopefully be destroying stuff
