yeah,
So today I'm thinking I wanna make some objectives.

What is the type, sizes and totals we need to have a full set? so we can play any mission.

Looking for Ideas on how to represent them?

From what I can see on the mission cards, it's something like this?
Small is 25mm bases or similar?
Large is 40mm bases or similar?

So we have;
  • 5 Territory Markers - Large - 40mm based Flags?

  • 3 Cybel Refinery Markers - Large - 40mm based Barrels ?

  • 2 Artifact Markers - Large - 40mm based Robot/Van/Tank? (card says it's a vehicle!)
    (Same item as Demolition ?)

  • 4 VIP Markers - small - 25mm based Scientists?

  • 4 Dig site Markers - Large - 40mm based ??

  • X Supply Caches - Small - 25mm bases Items/Crates/barrels ?
(I can't see which mission card uses these? so I have no idea how many we need?)

  • What are your ideas on what these should be?

Where can I buy some cool looking scientists?
    DoomII RPG had this guy.

    Panic...

For objectives, I put terminator teleport homers on top of Hirst Art blocks on top of 40mm bases.
sounds cool, do you have some photos?
I'm working on some objectives on my desk now... will hopefully have photos later.

    Spoiler:

We almost have a awesome set of 4 'I will never stop science' Scientists running around the battlefield!
    Although at £4 - £6 each ... will be about £20 for the 4 VIP objectives :(

Now, there are for 40k, which I didn't think about when I wrote that reply. For your MEdge specific markers, you'll probably want something way cooler.

    So, to complete your list:

    - large objectives go on 46mm bases, small on 25mm.

    - You need 16 large (2 artifacts, 4 dig sites, 5 territory markers, 3 refinery markers, 2 demolition markers) and 4 small (VIPs) + an unknown number for the supply caches objective that's not used in any current mission. (I"ve not counted the Epirian Uplink and Karist Secret Cache objectives.)

    yeah,
Where are the Epirian Uplink and Karist Secret Cache objectives?

So I've made some Doom Objectives.

The big robot things are the artifact/demolition objectives.

I will fudge the remainder into the categories!
I think the key cards can be used as territory markers? I'll need to make one more.

    Bought 4 scientists.
I decided on these as they are quite realistic and they were cheap!
£8 for the 4 at Black Cat bases.

And 20 ammo boxes to make cache objectives.

Annoyingly they appear to all come open. will have to close most.

I'm sure I have barrels around here somewhere with which to make 3 Piles of barrels to represent the refinery objectives.

So my only one to do is the Dig site markers??
    Ideas?

Well, the faction objectives are on pages 117 and 130 if that's what you mean. Your objectives are really cool, but also annoying because it reminds me of the ton of stuff I still need to do
The key cards could also work as dig sites I guess, they are to be 'sites containing relics of power' after all.

    yeah,
The dig sites is a strange one because you looking in possible locations.
I once had a set of Geo location objectives by MicroArt but I've lost them.

They were 25mm so probabily bit small but I think it's the correct idea... Some sort of 40mm token.

I quickly knocked up these for the Cybel Refineries.
They were meant to be some kind of underground refinery. I was trying to ensure I didn't block any lines of site or such with them.

Pic from mobile while on paint table - sorry.

I tried dabbling with 40k9/10 again and tried AoS3 - Nice models, naff games, but I'm enjoying HH2 and loving Battletech Classic and Alpha Strike.

I always thought it odd that a 'refinery' would be something that fits on a relatively small base, this is a clever way of going about it.

PS. You have some really nice stuff on your website!

Just found this little man at my in-laws when clearing out my children's toy box there (you know that rescue box that all parents need when their children decide that the toy they spent 10mins choosing before leaving the house wasn't actually the one they wanted to play with ).

Fortunately had just been looking at this thread to work out the objective markers needed as we pulled up on the drive. Methinks the tracks will work well if I want to make a 3D version of the Epirian faction marker.

It was lucky I happened to be looking at the picture in the pdf rulebook when I was pulling up. If it hadn't been for that I would no doubt have been trying to scratch build tracks
