Well, you're not wrong per se. A few drop pods with melta stern guard will definitely ruin your day. BUT, in order to completely remove all three raiders on an alpha strike, your opponent would have to have completely tailored their list entirely to handle that. In general, lets be honest: vast majority of lists don't have any sort of alpha strike capable of knocking out 3 AV14 tanks with 4HP each. Especially when the formation ignores immobilized, which removes the threat of having multiple hull points rapidly stripped away by grav centurions as well.
On top of the extra survivability, and frankly absurd situation where you might actually lose all three in one turn, things have to be really, really close to pull that off reliably. I'd say, on average, you'll lose the first one. Which sucks, because there goes the bonus. But then you're packing redeemers, and your opponent is kind enough to have placed a juicy unit right in front of your flamers. And you'll likely STILL have two raiders, which will be exceptionally hard to bring down after you've wiped the alpha strike squad.
