I spent quite a while going through the Delta Vector: Wargame Design Series articles as referred by Smilodon_UP (thanks!).
I found it quite a good read. In effect, it's a blog of one man's take on Easy_E's topics. I don't necessarily agree with all of his stuff, as we each have our own biases and objectives. What's nice are the comments and additional perspectives.
If you have a few hours, and are working on a ruleset, this is a highly recommended blog to work through.

Yes, I have been a fan for a while. As you say, he clearly has his preferences, but his reasoning is well thought out and clearly articulated.
He also has a fun Google group that you can bounce ideas around and share your games at. They are very helpful.

It is an interesting perspective to read through. I like most of it, at least how it is presented. Agree or disagree with some of his reasoning but it doesn't mean he's wrong or necessarily right, just a difference of opinion.
Either way it is good to always keep an open mind. With that in mind there is a fair amount of useful information in the posts and I'm only halfway through them all.

As I was making my way through the process of redesigning a rather fundamental chunk of KOG light, I went back to Delta Vector to read and re-read various articles tied to actions and activation. Not a lot of secondary changes resulted, but it wias helpful to recrystalize what I want KOG light to be.
Also, note that there are a few articles that aren't in the index...
