I'm building the contents of my Storm Claw set. I have a unit of Grey Hunters and a unit of SW terminators. These are probably the only Space Wolves I will ever paint, so I'm looking for a generic but utility build that I can play around with for caual play, zone mortalis missions, kill team, etc. Suggestions?

I can equip 2 of the grey hunters with plasma guns, maybe give the leader a power sword or a pair of claws, and equip another with thunder hammer. Everyone else would be vanilla bolter?

Unfortunately, the SW sprue is pretty light on special weapon options. If you are limited to what is on the sprue, I would do your grey hunters with 2xplasma, plasma pistol, and power axe (all on separate models) and give all of them a bolter and chainsword (to represent their extra CCW, if you decide to pay the 2ppm for them).

Terminators I would build as straight TH/SS with maybe 1 or 2 with dual wolf claw. You can use one TH/SS guy as counts'as Arjac Rockfist (amazing rules) and one of the dual wolf claw guys as a wolf lord if you want.

I have no idea how to equip the grey hunters as I don't use them, but I do use the hell out of the Termis.

Stormclaw comes with 5 termis. I personally would run Stormshield/TH. One guy with a pair of WC, 2 stormbolter/Frost sword, then assault cannon or cyclone/PF.

This gives you 2 guys to crack armor, 1 3++ save, decent at initiative CC, and some firepower.

Having Arjac in the squad as the TH/SS guy is awesome also as he can throw his hammer and gets HoW. Plus hes a character and can accept/issue challenges.

I would actually equip them as the Stormclaw booklet has them for the named units.

I ended up equipping my termintors like Arjac's brotherhood. Gives me the option to pick up Arjac later if I want to paint him.

I also got another suggestion to run 2 x 5 grey hunters and put a power fist and plasma gun into each. Thinking about combi weapon + axe or sword for at least one of the leaders, just because it would be cool.
