Was looking through some old WDs and i came across these Apocalypse Formations in WD374 (The one when the Stormraven was released)
There are 4 Formations Contained
'The Death Company' (Formation Bonus: All units get the old blood talons rule)
'Dante's Sanguine Host' (Formation Bonus: Assault after Deep Striking)
'Archangel Skyforce' (Fomation Bonus:Fire a 1 Shot S8 AP1 7" Blast then move flat out and disembark all your guys)
'Firestorm Strike Force' (Formation Bonus:Fire a S6 AP3 Hellstorm Template That leaves a line of fire behind)

All of them look pretty good and would give BA a power boost in 7th Ed
After flicking through them all the rules look valid for 7th Ed as all the rules listed still exist with the 7th Ed Versions of the units

So, Are the Formations still valid, Even if they are over 6 years old?

I will post what the formations consist of if asked to

Usually the old stuff is always valid, but not always functioning.

Whether your local game scene allows it is another thing. Ask your local TO.

I believe Apocalypse formations require you to be playing by Apocalypse rules, which requires agreement with your opponent.

So it would be between you and your opponent.

They are not, and have never been, legal for use with non-Apocalypse expansion games of Warhammer 40k.

I asked if the rules were still valid despite being 6 years old, not if they were valid in regular games

GW doesn't invalidate rules and on top of that it is an appoc formation for the latest version of the appoc game.

usable in 7th 40k with no "6th" appoc rules add on -> no
usable in 6th or 7th 40k with "6th" appoc rules add on or appoc rules allowed -> yes it is written for this edition of appoc.
Just pretending an Appoc formaton to be a regular 40k formation -> NO! this is a really shady thing to do.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
7th 40k might seem a lot like appocalypse but really is a different game. With lots of different and strange special rules
