Hi just wondering if I bought some Mantic fantasy Orcs for use in converting to 40K orcs would the porportions work? Specifically I have a bunch of extra shoots arms from the Ork Boyz kits, and I was thinking about gluing them to the Mantic Orc bodies. Would it look right? Mainly I am looking for variety as I want the ability to field lots of boys. I have 50 so far and I think 90-100 would be good. Buying lots of GW boyz kits gets boring real quick. I don't see the sci-fi version of mantic stuff around much anymore or I would buy some Marauders.

Another idea (and I will probably do both) is buy some AoS models and slap some 40K arms on them. The new ardboys could be orks with the armor upgrade. Brutes could be Nobs or Nobs in Mega Armor. I finally found a reason to buy some AoS stuff.

Also burna's and lootas kits come with both weapons so I could glue the other weapons on them to have both units.

I have looked at some of the bits companies out there like Kromlech but find the resin stuff is more expensive than the GW boyz kits so I might as well just buy the GW.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance
