So, a recent project of mine is redoing my old SM. particulary the old ones. I dont use the predator and the whirlwind that much. So I want to unglue the hatches, MAG them so they can be rhinos/razorbacks/anything else.
Anyone have an idea on how to do this? Or atleast soften the bond? I heard more glue will do the trick, but I dont want to screw it up.

Polyurethane cement? like rubber cement?
or do you mean polystyrene cement as in GW glue
because polyurethane might come off with iso alcohol
if you are talking about solvent glue like GW plastic glue or any other plastic glue. then you are SOL
generally GW glue is going to be weaker as there is often additives IIRC. older formulas had issues. you might get away with cutting the seam with a knife and prying it apart. but otherwise you are going to probably need to cut them apart.

If it's plastic glue you're just going to have to cut away at what you can and pry the pieces off. Sorry mate.

There is no solvent capable of breaking that bond - it's permanent - without dissolving the plastic itself.

If you mean polystyrene cement - what GW call "plastic glue", then no.
Unlike PVA, superglue, epoxy, etc, you don't have two parts with a layer of glue in between. The cement melts the plastic and welds the pieces together. The hull and hatch are now one piece. You'll just have to cut the turret mount pice away carefully.

You have a better chance of a clean break by scoring it. but its not fool proof.

May be worth trying the trick of freezing, have found that poly cement doesn't always bind properly, may not work but you never know your luck.
Have a Mk1 rhino and predator here I'm slowly working on, about half of the disassembly was done by freezing, some bits stuck fast though.
Have you thought on an eBay salvage job to get some spare parts, then just cut the hatches away.. replaced with hatches cut free from a wreaked vehicle bought cheaply?

I would just bite the bullet and get a blade in the joint and pry apart.
I have found that although the cement does wels the two pieces it my not be a complete joint (bubbling/parts not meeting) and the joint itself cane be a bit softer than the surrounding plastic.
You will not get a clean split and it is possible to tear the surrounding plastic if it bonds fully, so try to do this with the minimum of force and use your knife as much as possible.
