Which base should I use for it? The one in the FW picture shows its on a base that just looks too small for it (the feet go over the edge). I dont want to give my opponents extra charge range for free) so am torn about which to use.

Additionally, would you add any extra weight (and if so, what) to the base to lower the centre of mass?

I've built and painted four of these. Ultimately it does not HAVE to go over the base, and if I were playing against one I'd (in a tournament setting) take issue with it getting an even bigger base to move and stomp with.

In my experience the model isnt prone to tipping over if you have it properly balanced in stance. I do recommend magnetizing everything though because it is one heavy chunk of resin.
