Hi everyone,

I would like my (loyalist) Space Marines to wear chainaxes, I found two kits of weapons alone on Forge World, but apart from the Khorne Berzerkers, I didn't find much on the Games-Workshop website. Is there any kit of loyalist marines including at leat some with chainaxes?

Does any loyalist chapter still uses them by the way?

If you are willing to go 3rd party, I’ve seen some nice work done with Anvil’s stuff:

While they might have fallen out of favor, if it was in use at one point, it’s probably still lingering in the armories of the older loyalist marines. I don’t think anyone would bat an eye at axes in the hands of loyalists.

@Nevelon: :O Awesome, I didnt know this website thank you! I never did much modelling yet, what do you think would be the best way to put such a weapon in the hands of a Marine since it doesn come with the hand or arm?

Full Disclosure: I’ve not personally used them. Just seen other people use them, and looked longingly at their website.

It looks like most of them do have hands attached.

But if you find options that don’t have a hand, I’d look into getting a similar hafted weapon, like a thunderhammer, and doing a head swap.

GW space marine kits tend to provide arms without hands, and if you're willing to do a little cutting (maybe even reposing) you can use the arms that come with hands too.

Alternatively, Anvil Industry do their own arm sets that you could purchase.

Other than Khorne Bezerkers there are no plastic GW chainaxes.

Loyalist chapters that are often depicted with chain axes are the Flesh Tearers and Carcharodons, but, if you want to do your own chapter, it's completely up to you.
