The Rebel U-wing


And the TIE Striker

The you wing looks stupid. The tie is kind of cool though.

U-Wing is a Snow Speeder with extended wings and bolted on engines.
TIE striker looks like a precursor to the Interceptor.

The U Wing looks like someone got a Y Wing kit and tried to build it without the instructions!

Kinda like it though.

I think it's odd that they refer to the Striker as an "aerial assault vehicle".
I can barely make out the fine print, but can one assume that these are Ties designed for lower atmosphere engagements, and then will likely not find their way into X-wing TMG, a la Bespin Cloud Cars?

Could we get a more descriptive title, please?

I reckon the TIE might be a torp ship possibly

Yeah, looks like they took a Y-Wing cockpit, some X-wing engines and just added vestigial wings to try to disguise the shape a little...

Looks like the U-Wing is some sort of dropship, which may explain its absence from Yavin, Endor and Hoth.



I wonder what cool gimmicks will she come with, provided she ever makes it to X-Wing.

The U-Wing could be an interesting addition for the Rebels, with a crew slot or two and decent firepower. A Rebel transport will be handy for creating Scenarios around too, Dropping off Spec ops teams, assaulting Space Stations. Could have a lot of fun with that ship

Yay a new Tie, more the merrier. Looks better than most of the old EU Clown Ties, very bat like. Wonder what the extended hulls for, ordinance?

Rather unfortunately I'm not into either of those designs.

The U-Wing looks too much like a stretched limo to me... don't know why.

As for the new TIE variant, I hate to say it but the design lacks imagination.

Kind of sad about that, I usually look forward to new Star Wars stuffs.

They could be introduced into Imperial Assault instead, if they are going to be atmospheric crafts.
