I'm not at all happy about the look och Chaos Space Marines (too much skulls for my taste) so I'm going to make my own chapter of CSM. The idea is that they have recently fallen into chaos and are undergoing bodily changes/mutations. I'll use vanilla marines as a basis and special parts from e.g. maxmini.eu to create mutations. The mutating parts will be in a fleshy pink color, but the question is which other colors that would look nice with this and, following that, which chapter we're talking about and which chaos god that's involved. For instance, it could be Imperial Fists that have fallen to Nurgle or, well, whatever.

Any ideas are welcome! Trying to craft some cool minis with a nice narrative background here ...

You do something with Blood Angels and Khorne or you could pick any chapter and go down the chaos undivided route.

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

How about some ultramarines that got tricked into a convoluted scheme by a chaos sorcerer and now carry the blue banner of Tzeentch. Kromlech has some really nice Egyptian themed bits you could use. Maybe have a librarius conclave on bikes with force swords that rides around summoning untold horrors and then charges into close combat? Tzeentch bikers! Sounds great.

Use dark blue but add in gold trim anywhere you can so that the gold is what catches your eye. Use a lot of silver as a neutral colour on the interlocking joints and a blue glow effect on the eyes. Maybe have bolters that are black but edge highlighted with gold? The idea is to have gold be the bright eye catchy colour but with a solid darkish blue on the majority of the model. Then maybe have the pink mutations be REALLY pink... like neon so that it is clear to anyone looking at them that they are in fact tainted by chaos.

Tourquoise & Pink look eye-catching while adding some bright green accents for eye lenses, gems and chaos runes will finish off the look.

Look to ye color wheel articles for excellent color schemes.

Thanks for this. I've been thinking about Ultramarines since blue and pink go so well together, but I've always considered them a bit boring. But adding in the Egyptian theme is a really cool idea!
