So here's the dilemma,

After completing my Warhound Recently and doing a lot more research on Legio Astorum, and subsequently the Forge World of Lucius. I have decided to build up an allied AdMech/Mechanicum force to go along with them, and to compliment both my 30k Imperial Fists, and 40k Blood Ravens.



My issue is the the Dark armor as seen above, it's described as scorched in homage to their unique home world. The problem is, I have trouble working out colors for Dark/black armor, so I'm reaching out to anyone who might have tips on how to do scorched type armor, that's not the simple flat black with Grey or white highlights.
