being inspired by a few other users, like Malika2, I designed a simple ship in SketchUp and had it printed at Shapeways. Very impressed with the quality.

It's hard to take pictures of transparent models! But all the detail is there and sharper than in my old metal models.

As someone awaiting the return of BFG with baited breath (and keeping busy with the PC game too), this is awesome! Nicely done.

Shoulda had the other parts cast in clear too this way you coulda just said it was cloaked.
