So started playing 40K again its been a really really long time. Played my first game with a buddy and sued some random house objects as terrain. using a wooden unicorn cemented the idea we needed some real terrain going forward.
although my GF approved of the unicorn.

I watched alot of you tube videos and got some ideas and inspiration. I wanted to make something from cheap and found objects, Also stuff from my old bits box. (kept for over 15 years)

I didn't take alot of pics from the build. but here we go. I am still adding finishing touches.

Welcome to Dakka.

Very nice piece there.

You might want to stop over into the League of Extraordinary Riveters’ thread. They are a group that runs competitions to encourage the use and building of terrain. Just wrapped up one event, and another just begun. Toss your hat into the ring and join the fun!

Appreciate the positive feedback . I added some drip lines using a wash i made from some ink etc helped add to the effect of age.

While it was my first attempt i owe all of it to Youtube and alot of pictures found on forums like this. Being able to see other people methods really helped me with putting this together.
The only thing i really wasn't sure about was the base itself and the muddy look. It just kind of happened on its own as i went and i decided i liked it.
Originally i was just going to do some browns and add some static grass but when i saw how this developed i was like meh muddy it is.
