Hey all.  I have been away for quite some time.  Back now and working on my armies for our big mega-battle next weekend.  I am working on Nids (obviously) and had a few questions. 

My first list consists of 2 tyrants, 6 fex and either hormogaunts or genestealers to get to 2000 pts.  This is the layout of my first Tyrant:

Tyrant (75), adrenal glands +1I (15), enhanced senses +1BS (10), extended carapace +1SV (25), toxic sacs +1S (12), winged (40), twin-linked devourer (12), twin-linked devourer (12), acid maw (10), toxic miasma (6) - 217 pts

My thoughts are this:  12 twin-linked str 5, 18" range,  rerolls on hits and wounds.  They should be able to soften up most targets before the charge.  Only 3 (4 on the charge) attacks in HTH, but rerolls on the wounds that ignore armor saves.  Backed up by either genestealers or hormorgaunts, a walking tyrant and 6 'fex, I think that it should do ok.

What do people think of this combination?  Will it work like I think or is it destined to go down in a hail of bolter fire?  This is just my army for our big game.  I will probably tailor the force for regular tournamet play a bit.  I have 2 more force orgs that are virtually the same, but one has a broodlord and one might have a scything hierodule. 

I will try and have my total lists done this weekend for feedback.

As regards your Tyrant, IMO he's far too expensive.  I've crammed in 8 TMCs, 3 Guard, 12 stealers and loads of dakka in 1.5k points.  Cheap and cheerful is my philosophy.
